Did anyone watch Elliott Spitzer on cspan tonight?
I guess it was a repeat from Monday, but I didn't see it then.

He is a very intelligent man, and his views are really on the side of everybody except the corrupt businesses he goes after.

He spoke about people, doctors, and businesses not being able to afford insurance, and shrubco blames it on law suits. He said that is wrong! The insurance industry is corrupt, and are in colusion with each other to make millions! There is no ;ome pf insurance that is not in the deal!

I hope we can get a Dem President in 2008, and that he/she will nominate Elliott as AG!

1. Saw it on cspan earlier this
week. He's a terrific guy. He has the whole framing issue down pat and speaks so all people can understand him. I hope he is going place but we New Yorkers want him for governor first! We've put up with Pataki for 10 yrs now, a blue state with this Repuke as governor has got to change and Elliot is it.

2. You just watched the next governor of New York State
and the best part is that eventually nobody is going to remember George Pataki's name. I just loved that speech. $70 Billion/year to the mutual fund industry. His points about industries not being able to regulate themselves and prevent fraud was brilliant. The government must intervene to protect integrity. Extend that to the environment. His recitation of the history of civil rights and discrimination was excellent. I think I am going to sleep well tonight.

3. I caught a few minutes...
and almost cried thinking about how we're stuck with Shrub for 4 years minus 17 days! Spitzer is intelligent, articulate, and although born into privilege, fights for the little guy. Yeah, yeah, he's politically ambitious (that's how they attack him). I was SO hoping for a Kerry victory and Spitzer as AG. Hell, I'd like to be calling him president some day, but I guess governor is next.

4. It was a hell of a presentation!
I've never seen Spitzer speak at length. He did so off the cuff, with exceptional organization and in extraordinary detail.

This guy is destined for great things.

I just hope he stays out of small planes and uses a taster..

5. I hope all of your are right! Gov. Spitzer sounds great!
I don't live in NY, but Governor is the base lots of Presidents come from!!!! He really does have the ability to slam the opposition for just not doing their job! That's the way the Dems have to go after their opposition too!!!!

7. On Eliot Spitzer:
My thinking is that he is ONE very intelligent lawyer, with ethics, no less. You know that he's going to run for NY governor this year (or is it next year?). I feel he will make an excellent governor, and then, after a term or two, he'll make a superb candidate for president. I'd really like to see him do that! And I hope I'll be alive to see it.

8. Saw it at about 4:00am Saturday,
I liked how he let into the Press for not printing any of his reports after he contacted them and released press reports explaining very clearly the corruption in insurance and money exchanges...I hope he made them feel like shit since it was the Press Corps he was speaking to...I sure hopes he wins Governor - New York deserves someone who will make the city work for ALL the people not just the NYSE....
