Talon News
October 12, 2004

WASHINGTON (Talon News) -- Inasmuch as Bill Clinton is considered by some members of the African-American community to be "the first black president" because of their perception of his positions with regard to minority issues, Democratic Sen. John Kerry might someday be known as "the first gay president" were he to win the White House in November.

The Massachusetts liberal has enjoyed a 100% rating from the homosexual advocacy group, the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), since 1995 in recognition of his support for the pro-gay agenda.

Despite his stated opposition to gay marriage, Kerry and his running mate, Sen. John Edwards (D-NC), who also boasts a 100% rating from the HRC, can expect to receive a high percentage of the gay vote, estimated to be around 4 million. Kerry voted against the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) in 1996 and both candidates oppose the constitutional amendment to protect marriage sought by President Bush.

11. Laughing so hard I nearly peed myself.....
Look, if this 'situation' is heading where I think it is heading, then I am starting to believe that there really is a 'God'.

And that this 'God' rewards the craven hypocrites who take His name in vain with a just comeuppance.......

4. thought lincoln was the first gay president
And wasn't there another who was pretty "out" about it back in the old days? Someone else will know. Bush I was involved in some sort of White House pimping scandal in the Reagan days and supposedly wins the title of first bi, swinging president.

But there could be others. Sexual antics weren't always well reported, and sexual access has always been a perk of power.

The conservation movement is a breeding ground of communists
and other subversives. We intend to clean them out,
even if it means rounding up every birdwatcher in the country.
--John Mitchell, US Attorney General 1969-72

5. Is he gay or do you think it's possible that his gay military websites are
Edited on Wed Feb-09-05 01:02 PM by cindyw
a way to expose who is gay in the military? Certainly possible. I'd be curious to find out if it is just a way into tricking military men to violate "don't ask don't tell". The old Trojan Horse trick.

6. Don't give him any ideas for excuses!
Hypocritical SOB. It's pretty well known that most gay bashers are closet homosexuals.

7. Still it would be horrible if this was a way to "clean out" the military.
Oh God, it makes me sick to think it might be true. I just think if it is and we can connect this guy to the White House, we can connect Bush to something like this....see where I am going? Also, I think we have to shut down the websites, if true.

16. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth.
The guy is/was leading a double life just like a lot of Republican's. Publicly pretending to be one thing while being quite the opposite in private.

Just like religious conservatives
and compassionate conservatives
and fiscal conservatives
and conservatives that support the troops
or conservatives that want smaller government
or conservatives that want to leave no child behind.

19. I think there's greater potential for it to be used for blackmail.
If a gay serviceman is outed, there's no gain to just kicking him out. But under threat of being outed he could be forced to do all kinds of interesting things -- like filing falsified absentee ballots for his unit, cheerleading for the war, provinding cover for black-ops, etc. If they don't play along, then they are outed, discharged, loss of benefits, and so on.

It gives military gays a lot to lose.

20. I suppose you could be right. I just hate the possibility that these
sites could be used for anything other than men finding men with whom they have something in common. And with people who shill for the White House it is possible that he isn't leading a double life. Rather than him being a hypocrit, if he was prejudice and vindictive like the KKK with a www address instead of rallies, then I think we should find out and stop it.

We really should know if anything bad has happened to the men who frequent his sites.

13. No wonder all the fundies & sheeple have deep-seated hatred!
Edited on Wed Feb-09-05 01:20 PM by 8_year_nightmare
They have character assassination campaigns against John Kerry (what are they afraid of?), Harry Reid, & Hillary Clinton. Their lies & distortions have to stop! This country can't take any more division than it has now!

One day we're going to have to organize to march up Capitol Hill -- they need to know how seriously fed up we are about what's going on!
