Well, well, well, it turns out our favorite White House "correspondent" wasn't really the squeaky clean conservative poster boy the Repukes thought he was (or maybe they knew and just didn't care). Salon has a very enlightening posting on this story with new revelations about "Mr. Gannon" with links indicating his pre-right-wing hack occupation (very graphic ones at that).

Normally I'm a live and let live person, but this guy and the Repukes really deserve to take one on the chin for this. The hypocrisy and audacity of this little enterprise to corrupt our journalistic coverage of the President stinks to high heaven and has to be exposed. This is typical of the Bush administration. Scratch the surface just a little and all kinds of corruption comes oozing out.

1. Next Step...Who, What, Where, When

Short of child molesting (and somehow I get a feeling that's somewhere on a website), we've learned way more about "Gannon" than most of us care to. Well and good, now let's find out about those who we worked for, worked with and had business associations with...especially those in the corporate media.

I wanna know who "Gannon's" bosses and mentors are...the ones who greased the skids to get him into the White House, got him access to the Plame materials, paid for the services of "Talon News", who taught at Blackwell's "Journalism School"...and who sent Gannon there and many more interesting questions.

There's a paper trail on these people that is waiting to be uncovered...public records such as places inside government buildings "Gannon" went to...how long he was there, who he was meeting with. There's also travel vouchers, phone records and other trails that if we keep digging and pushing could force the corporate media to report this story and account for their actions or inactions.

and for that matter, PRIVATE OFFICES, with doors that can be SHUT AND LOCKED....

but there are records, especially since 911, of who goes into EVERY SINGLE FEDERAL BUILDING in the DC area....there are also video cameras everywhere....

8. Remember The Clinton Witch Hunts

The "Chinese influence peddling" crap? Remember how every building these guys stepped in were noted as well as the calls...and who made them. "Gannon's" gotta have made lots of visits to "report"...especially around the "Congressional Gallery" (what he claimed on NPR was how he was credentialed). We definitely need to see how many times he was in the White House and for how long (those HAVE to be on file somewhere). Another treasure trove could be crib or tape recordings of the "off the record" Press gaggles Snotty holds...where the "informed sources" come from. Was "Gannon" at any of these?

Then we find out about "Gannon's" friends and if they paraded around our public buildings as well.

The deafening silence right now is from those who are "legit" WH press people...like John King of CNNservative or David Gregory of MSGEGOP, Ann Compton and other reporters. This mole sat in that room with them for two years...surely they had to wonder who he was and how he got there. Or, I suspect that they knew exactly why he was there and are shutting up right now for fear of having to admit being complicit in this regime's overt attempt to control the news media.
