Blood on floor not Jimmy Hoffa's...so there goes that idea.

DETROIT, Michigan (AP) -- Blood found on the floor of a Detroit home is not that of Jimmy Hoffa, investigators said Monday, ruling out what had looked like one of the most promising recent leads in the disappearance of the Teamsters boss 30 years ago.

Authorities had ripped up floorboards last May at a house where Delaware Teamsters official Frank Sheeran said he shot Hoffa to death.

Police in the Detroit suburb of Bloomfield Township received a report from the FBI crime lab Monday concluding that human blood from a male was on the floorboards but that the blood was not Hoffa's.

Police Chief Jeffrey Werner said investigators and prosecutors were skeptical of the lead from the beginning but were obligated to pursue it after Fox News Channel claimed that its own investigation had turned up blood on the floor.

Fox News...giggle.

1. I think he's either under 1-96 or the Ren/Cen
The 1-96 Jeffries and the Ren Cen were both being built when he disappeared. Some mobster said he was buried somewhere in Jersey.

Or he's on some tropical island somewhere, hiding out with Elvis, DB Cooper and Jim Morrison.

2. I think the freeway is the best choice. But I thought it was 6-96?
Oh well...This story sounded plausible at first, until you delve into it. The guy was a hit man with several notches on his belt. The blood could be anybody's. :hi:

3. A "made man" told me exactly what happened to Hoffa.
You will not find the evidence because it was eaten long ago.

He was made into dog food.

This was told to me by the fellow who was our organized crime contact when we ran a tavern in suburban Cook County, IL. In those days, you did not run a tavern there unless you did business with the mob for your liquor, cigarette machine, and juke box. The alternative was having a tragic fire...
