Man did I piss off a Reich Winger, and it feels so good!

I am in the market for some commercially zoned (expensive) land, and I had called this realtor who had a listing about his property. That property turned out not to be viable, but he invited himself to represent me in searching for other properties.

The guy is a complete dumbass, and started sending me right wing propaganda and jokes through email, which I told him to quit. To his credit, he was at least bright enough to quit, but how stupid can you be to send that kind of drivel out to someone you don't know? It's an after effect of drinking the kool-aid, and a by product of living in a ruby red state.

Anyway, I made the decision that under no circumstances would I do business with this clown, and quit returning his phone calls.

After a couple of weeks of being ignored, he demanded to know the status of my interest in his services. I had the pleasure of telling him his services were not needed, because I had located a property on my own. It took him by surprise because for some inexplicable reason he assumed his red neck charm was getting over on me and that we were buddies. I cannot for the life of me imagine why, but that's kool-aid drinkers for you.

I felt like telling him that I discriminate against idiots and have the same disdain for them that he must have for women, liberals, and minorities based on the emails he sent me. But I chickened out and avoided the conflict.

But I must say it felt good to red line the winger. I know, it was evil, hehehe.

did you sign a contract of any sort with him? Often times they make you sign an agreement of representation, and it is binding if you purchase any properties during the contract period. They can sue if you buy property without them being named as your realtor. I didn't know that until I had a bit of a bad experience, similar to yours. Fortunately the contract had a stipulation that I could terminate the contract with a written letter (not all of them have that stipulation though).

I have to call my military buddies on it now and then. I make it plain that they and I do not see things the same way. Without exception they accept my position AND we remain friends.

Stick up for your beliefs. They will respect you or dump you. Should they dump you; you have won.

10. Good for you! I think it would have been helpful to let him know why

you cut him out, but at least you cut him out.

Though if you were to let him know, then he'd have one more reason to hate librulz, because you know damn well he'll never stop and think "Gosh - is there something here I could learn?"

So, maybe it's best you didn't tell him why you cut him out.

13. I did give him some reasons

because he got uncorked about my "unprofessional behavior" because I did not return his calls.

So I reminded him about how he had set up a meeting with me to visit a set of properties, then showed up late, handed be a couple of listings and said, "They are over thar, check them out, and git back wit me", and then on a second occasion he set up a meeting at a property and forgot to show. I suggested that I did not need lectures on professionalism from someone that performed in this manner.

If his IQ is above 75, he should know that I was upset with his propagand email, because that is when I quit returning calls after telling him I did not want to receive the stuff.

I debated about going full sail into him, but then thought, screw it, why do I want to waste my time educating a moron. Let him fail again when he runs into someone else like me. Although that is not highly probable in this neck of the woods I am sad to say.

After a couple of days, this guy will realize why you didn't need him. You told him to quit sending the right wing crap and he did. He'll say to himself "hmmm, this guy must have been a democrat/liberal, that's why he told me to stop".

15. we have business vehicles around here displaying 'B/C'04' and I've used

the convenience of them having phone numbers and business names ON their vehicles to call up and say I would never do business with a company that displays war-mongering, political preference.

I ask them how helpful their stickers are in drumming up business in a blue state (MN).

If the person is combative, I mention that anyone putting political stickers next to their business name has poor basic judgement (does not have the sense God gave a goose) and may lack good business sense, as well.
