2. How in the world would I know? . . .
I swear, if I live to be a thousand (and oil remains available until then), I'll never figure out how gas gets priced. What with the madness in the world today, and an oil-smeared maladministration disinterested in protecting my money, it's anyone's guess how high the price for gas will go this afternoon, let alone the rest of the week or to the end of the year. And of course, their question ignores the real issue, which is the impact a declining supply of oil will exert on all our lives . . . almost the least of which will be the rising price of gas.

3. Who knows?
There are so many factors at work in this particular equation it would be hard to make an accurate prediction.

4. In summer of 2004 Boone Pickens predicted $3 was coming ...
$3 Gas Possible This Summer, Oil Tycoon Says
National Average Over $2 This Week

So he just missed it by a year, he's probably privy to more oil info than the average person (or he's playing with the media for price speculation...).

Either way, within 35 years oil runs out sometime. One trillion barrels of proven reserves divided by around 80 million barrels daily consumption worldwide (current) comes to about 35 years.

Who's even thinking of options to oil ? Certainly not Bush & co. And you'd think the Dems would be making hay on this...
