So Saxy Shameless wants to restore farm aid-gd top ten list nominations...
by cutting the amount requested by bushco to come out of the WIC and food stamps programs. Most egregiously subsidizing the largest agribusiness companies while kicking the poorest of the poor in the teeth while stealing their food.

So with no top ten list this week - lets make nominations on our own for the most outrageous republican antics unfolding last week and this week...

2. Those deadbeat vets, and folks who suffered serious
illness and hospitalization... need to pay up! Garnish their pay... but don't dare put any restrictions on the usurous practices and predatory nature of many credit card lenders!

3. I'll second that nomination.
I am ashamed to say Saxby is one of my senators. I thought he couldn't sink any lower after he smeared Max Cleland during the senatorial election campaign. I was wrong.

4. Let us know if there is any local coverage
of his position (esp if he gets his way to shift the budget cuts in this direction.)

5. I will keep ya'll updated.
I usually post in the Georgia forum. I can double post in General Discussion and in Georgia.

I wrote a letter to Saxby about election reform. I got the standard form letter back. (No fraud here. The election process works great.)

I'm now on his mailing list so I can keep up with his plans to destroy our economy and our democracy.

I really, really hate Saxby. I'll never forgive him for what he did to Max Cleland.

7. That was a despicable campaign
Btw, I saw one of the debates in 2002 on CSPAN... Chambliss kept saying that he wouldn't touch social security... something along the lines that his mother wouldn't let him... wouldn't it be great to get a copy of that tape... get his words verbatim - and compare them to what he says now per SS. I haven't heard his stand on privatization, but couldn't imagine that he would abandon bush on this.

8. and if it were not for bush's red ink and tax cut diet
there wouldn't have to be a tug of war between these interests. Disgusting pitting family farms against hungry children.
