Listening to ABC Nightline
always about men wounded.
This war has the highest amount of women wounded why isn't the MSM talking about this?
Not good to show wounded women, they are no longer very sexy, they don't say, missing limbs or whatever: I want to be back there with my buddies...?
When will we see something on the high amount of wounded women soldiers, no women on the frontlines! Where in the hell is the frontline in Iraq, the whole damn country is the frontline.

1. Yeah, it is a tragedy and we're the ones that don't love our troops

so we're told.

We are going to start collecting money at our dem table to send care packages.

$1 Billion could by soap for every person on Earth, but $200 Billion can't buy if for those fight for us in Iraq. They don't have basic things like razors or armor.

What is the total of our sons and daughters lost in Iraq up to now? No matter what the answer, it is still too high.

Props to Nightline for even talking about it.

2. Well Bush said
'no women in combat' ignoring the fact there already are women in combat in Iraq.

I guess you're supposed to believe they're all waiting on tables in perky outfits, and cheering up the 'soldier boys'

So it would be hard to explain missing limbs and so on.

And you're right...there are no frontlines anymore. Haven't been since WWII actually.

3. Valid point
Combat exclusion is a joke, anyway. It makes the fat guys in suits who sit and home and who never served feel good about protecting the "delicate wimminfolk." Never mind that most of those women serving, and even the ones in physical therapy and rehab at Walter Reed, could kick those fatsos' asses on their worst day!

Women in armed forces saluted

By HELEN THOMAS
HEARST NEWSPAPERS

WASHINGTON -- Women in uniform are doing their share in the Iraqi and Afghanistan war zones -- and taking their hits.

A Pentagon spokesman said that 23,409 women were deployed in the two countries in support of U.S. operations as of last Dec. 31.

A total of 31 servicewomen have given their lives, and 254 women have been wounded in those theaters of action.

Women in uniform are bravely taking their chances. They are not fighting on the ground, but they fly planes for the Air Force and Apache helicopters for the Army. Women have helped in all previous wars. Even Gen. George Washington called for women nurses to assist doctors in the Revolutionary War. The Army officially established a nursing corps in 1901.

maintains the myth.. "...no one could have EVER imagined how bad it would be in Sadr City..."

Are they REALLY this dense?? Why on earth do they admit it if they are??

How naive if they think we are welcomed when we enter a country with guns?
