Beyond Schiavo, this is about Christian Fundamentalist Power
This is the Christian Right Wing flexing it's muscle. And THEY got

BOTH HOUSES OF CONGRESS to interrupt their Palm Sunday weekends to

discuss a matter that has already been TO THE UNITED STATES SUPREME

COURT. That's some awesome power. That may be the real story here.

1. It HAS been to the US Supreme Court, right?
The highest court in the land?

Doesn't whatever they say go...period? And now they're trying to overrule it in the legislative branch?

Isn't this a major violation of constitutional law?

5. Pulling the plug has been to the Supreme Court...
The God-Emperor's in Congress don't recognize the court as having any authority. Remember, its the voices in their heads that tell them what's right or wrong, not some tattered scrap of parchment!

7. Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, and Wiccans
Believe in the sacredness of all life. This is not about fundamentalist Christianity--many faiths value life, however damaged.

6. 2000
Both houses of congress should have decided the 2000 election then, too, not the U.S. Supreme Court.

11. This is a path we do not want our government to take
Bad precedent to set, allowing such political maneuverings to interfere in what has already been decided by the courts.

Shameful abuse of political power.
