Creating a handout for national press club farce (gannonguckert)

Good morning, everyone.

I'm thinking about creating a handbill to pass out the morning of the National Press Club "bloggers' panel" featuring GannonGuckert. I started an open thread at my blog, Last Midnight (lastmidnight.blogspot.com) and would appreciate ideas for bullets/talking points to include here or there (there might be easier, plus, I want the traffic!)

Here are my ideas so far:

double-sided, three-panel handbill.

Front (outside panel 6) Tagline, and I'm waffling about whether to put a photo on it. I'm afraid if people see one of THOSE photos they'll throw it out before reading it.

Open up and you have inside panel 1 and outside panel 4:

Panel 1: Quote about responsibility of media.
Paragraph about the issue with today's media leading into why the panel is a farce.

Panel 4, outside: reasons we're protesting. Bold text about JeffyLube at bottom, something about "If you want to know who this man is, read on..."


Open up and see inside panels 2 and 3

Panel 2, inside: WHO IS JEFF GANNON?
Bullets about his past
Bolded bullets about why he has no place being there

Panel 3, inside: UNANSWERED QUESTIONS
Short, simple questions that need to be answered.
Encourage people who are attending to ask them.

Turn brochure over for back.

Panel 5, outside back: TAKE ACTION
Two sections: one if you're attending, what to do there; one if you're not attending, how to take action.

Contact URLs, disclaimers, etc.

-Hope this isn't too incoherent. I'm at work and have to post furtively!

3. Do it now with TV and radio listing data

And make it available on DU as a download.

That way everyone can print out copies at home, and begin to post them around the nation on bulletin boards, supermarkets, laundromats, and under windshields. Let America know what is coming so the whole nation can tune in and watch it live on c-span or whatever.

No doubt there will be an e-mail campaign to call attention to Gannon April 8 "coming out." That also happens to be the day of a Major Solar Eclipse --- with direct impacts on Bush, Tom Delay, and Guckert....Hang on, it's going to get bumpier...

4. I can't create it until next week.

I can work all night Monday night on it and have it ready for download/release on Tuesday, but I'm going out of town tomorrow...

5. one of the panels should be one of the pictures of jeff prostituting

himself with the smut black strip across his eyes and privates and in bold letters 'jeff gannon hooker' crossed out and replaced with 'jeff gannon reporter' and at the bottom 'are we really just a bunch of whores?' (rhetorically speaking)
