1. I didn't think anything of Bush's speech
because I didn't listen to it. I am literally not able to listen to him speaking.

As far as being saddened over Ms. Schiavo's death, the only part of her that had any meaning died 15 years ago. Why should I be saddened over the death of one woman's body and not over all the other deaths of people who had functioning minds when they died? For that matter, why does Bush have more to say about this one single death of a body with no mind than he had to say about the quarter million people who died in the tsunami, or the 1500+ soldiers that he sent to die in Iraq, to say nothing of the thousands of Iraqis killed in his war?

3. Oh, he exploited those deaths plenty.
In fact, he used that as the main excuse for his Iraq slaughter. He enjoys talking about death when he can use it to further his own political agenda. If it doesn't further his political agenda however, it may as well not even exist as far as he's concerned.
