1. Well, many of us in Kansas don't think we DO!
And we're hoping there are enough of us to defeat this amendment. We'll see ...

7. For some reason, the national media never ties him to the GOP
They should. They spend every opportunity to tie extremists like Ward Churchill to the left and try to paint his opinions as mainstream leftist thought. When will they start saying that Fred Phelps and his "God Hates Fags" loser followers (his family) are representative of Conservative and Republican belifs and policies?

14. He comes across as RW (and he IS), but he's actually a registered Dem.
I know, I know. It makes no sense. But keep in mind that the man is certifiably insane. We will probably never understand what makes him tick.

17. Probably registered Dem on purpose
I think it might be a good idea to register as a Republican and start spewing out a bunch of vile, hateful BS.

But, Ann Coulter and Sean Hannity already cornered that market.

19. I'm afraid you wouldn't turn anyone liberal by spewing vile, hateful
Republican BS. You'd probably just lose your soul and make lots of money, like Rush, Hannity, and Ann Coulter.

As for Fred, he's always been a Dem. I don't think he has any love for the Republican party (or anyone else, for that matter).

5. Its a horrible amendment
It not only defines marriage in Kansas as a civil contract between a man and a woman. It also goes as far as saying that only married people can have the benefits of marriage (Civil unions, etc.).

I am surrounded by these bigoted assholes every fucking day, even though I live in the most liberal area in Kansas they still come out of the woodwork.

I will be embarrassed beyond belief if this thing passes.

These self-righteous, vile, hateful motherfuckers make me sick.

6. Because beneath that placid midwestern exterior
Kansas is a seething caldron of rioting ho-mo-seksual lust. The Devil lives in Kansas, and unless the legislature comes to the rescue
the churhes will be powerless to stop what's coming. Next thing you know "they" will be teaching E-Vo-Lution in the public schools and gay love in sex education classes. Only a marriage amendment stands between Kansas and eternal damnation.

8. I know you think you are kidding
But, its not funny. I wish it were just a joke.

These people out here are playing for keeps.

The right wing Attorney General is attacking Planned Parenthood with all his resources in order to propel himself to the Governor's office in 2006.

And Fundies are jamming the School Boards with creationists whose agenda includes teaching creationism, teaching intelligent design, banning Evolution, banning books they find "objectionable", and making Bible Study mandatory part of public education.

9. And then the Hollywood Northeastern liberal elitists will
force upstanding christian children to get pregnant with stem-cells and have them aborted.

11. No, that's not quite how it works
Trust me, I'm a liberal in Kansas.

What we do is find a young white couple (usually age 12 to 14) and show them how to have sex. Then, even though we have shown them how to use birth control and how to have safe sex, we force them to have unprotected sex. We also give them drugs and make them watch pornography.

When the girl gets pregnant, we make her wait until the last two weeks of the pregnancy and then force her to get an abortion. After that, we turn the boy gay and the girl into a lesbian.

13. It's pretty obvious that Kansans are sublimating
Kansas is one of the 31 states, all red, where Freud still works.

15. Wow, Kansas liberals are powerful!
If you guys came to DC could you turn all the Republicans gay? It would solve an awful lot of problems.

Then tell the rest of the country you'll turn them all gay unless they vote for Dems

Kansas Liberals=Democratic Superheroes

12. Because apparently Kansas is the gayest state in the US
It's not uncommon for alcoholics to hide their bottles.

It looks like Kansas just has a closet the size of Texas.
