...and try to stay awake for the long, foreign service. He will hope that the photographers get a few good shots of him, that the RAI cameras in the Basilica catch his good side...and he'll use the pictures in print and media ads that target the faithful, on behalf of some element of his twisted agenda--if he can get away with it.
Problem is, as the shock wears off, the true legacy of the Pontiff will eventually start being discussed--even Faux won't be able to help themselves. Il Papa did good things, and he did ignorant things. That will start coming out soon--how long can you say the same tired crap over and over again? One good thing about 24 hour coverage over a really long haul, when they finally can't bear to hear themselves saying the same old shit, they drag in the opposing view--and people listen, just because it's different.
Before he's interred, and certainly before a new Pontiff is selected, I'll bet you will hear the other side of the coin on TV. It will be respectfully presented, but it won't be sugar coated.
