David Corn, of the ultra-liberal Nation magazine objects to me having evoked his name during Friday's National Press Club panel. While he hyperventilates over my characterization of his performance at a White House briefing, the point remains that David, a very partisan journalist was admitted on a "day pass." When the author of "The Lies of George W. Bush" subsequently engaged in very partisan questioning, not a single person, including me, objected to his presence. But I really think he's more upset about all of the criticism he after I referred to him as "my good friend." Sometimes it doesn't pay to be nice to people."

Uh oh, It looks like David Corn is pissed at you Jeff. He is prolly afraid people will think you two have this thing going. First you mentioned him on your blog when it first appeared, and now you mention him at that press meeting. Hmm...

2. Jeff Gannon needs to disappear

He has no credibility left, unless you count the Freakers, and Freaker credibility isn't real credibility. He just needs to go the fuck away.

And every time he speaks it is interesting in a revaltory way. Don't you want to know more about the psyche of a person who has the confidence to go in front of the world in the WH Press Conf room and have a side business - and - someone who knows Bush operatives or is an operative within his own circle or directors? He has plenty of credibility in his own way. We deserve to know more.

3. One huge difference between Gannon and Corn,

Or any other journalist in that room. Corn and his colleaques are truly journalists, while Gannon is nothing but a partisan hack with no real training in journalism or writing.

5. No reason to attack him

He did enough damage all on his own. When he said Fox news isn't conservative he lost all credibility.

His one chance to appear before the National Press Club and he can't get his red/blue map right. Why did he show it then? Has he heard of Kinko's? or Office Max?
