Col. Sheldon Burnett, MIA since 1971, was buried today

An U.S. Army honor guard prepares to fold the U.S. flag that draped the casket of Col. Sheldon Burnett, a soldier from New Hampshire listed as missing in Vietnam for three decades, during funeral services at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va., Wednesday, April 13, 2005. Burnett's helicopter was shot down in 1971, but it wasn't until last fall that his remains were found and identified. (AP Photo/Len Spoden)

On March 7, 1971, Ard flew his OH-58A “Kiowa” helicopter from South Vietnam to transport three passengers, including Burnett, to an area on the Vietnam-Laos border. As the helicopter approached a landing zone, it was hit by enemy antiaircraft fire and crashed in Savannakhet Province, Laos. Two of the passengers survived the crash and evaded capture as enemy forces attacked. When they reached friendly lines, the two reported that Burnett and Ard were still alive but badly injured.

2. Remember the MIA bracelets...
I wonder if someone was still wearing his bracelet. I know one person that still wears one for the soldier that hasn't been found.

4. I wore my bracelet until my first child was born...
The hospital made me take it off and when I did it snapped in two. I still have both halves in my jewelry box. My soldier still remains MIA

3. The press covers this story but
Where is the press and our Chimperor when our fallen soldiers from Iraq are shipped home and buried? We know where the press is - they are FORBIDDEN to cover those stories and Bushit can't own up to what happens in war started by his own hand.
