I am wondering how many people besides myself cannot stand to
listen to or watch Bush on the radio or TV. I turn down the radio or TV as soon as he comes on.

4. My mother -- a 53-year old woman who drives a Chevy Tahoe,
shops at Wal-Mart and watches "American Idol."

The woman cusses out the television every time he comes on -- called him a "motherfucker."

I've tried to explain to her how certain "lifestyle choices" of hers actually PAY the piper -- but she doesn't listen.

Especially if he's on one of his yelling binges trying to sound like Dynamic Leader.

22. it's the giant close-up photos of him in the paper that get me
Our newspaper has this weird thing about featuring large-than-life pics of his face -- usually they're on an inside page so there is no advance warning. I'll be reading the paper over breakfast when, bam!, there's this photo of Bush staring at me. Not even his wife has that close a view -- it magnifies the pores in his skin, and the whiskers he missed while shaving.

24. I know what you mean
When Bush was Governor I lived in Austin, and I liked to go to this great place that had great BarBQ and Chicken Fried Steak, so did Bush.

It seemed every time I went so did he, and he was already trying on his good old boy act. He would come up try to shake your hand, only I never would. I saw him upclose and personal, you could tell who were the Democrats and who were the Republicans in that room.

25. It is the completely natural, instinctive reaction that decent folks
have when they encounter something that is innately wicked and unspeakably evil.

It is a human survival mechanism that warns us of great danger and imminent threat.

Every nice, decent person I know cannot stand the sight or sound of him, and have an instantaneous feeling of loathing and disgust when they see him.

30. One of the blessings of living where I do..
is that I hardly ever have to see him on TV. What's funny is that our dog was so conditioned during the debates when we screamed at the television so often when Bush was talking that he nows goes ballistic and barks and growls whenever he hears that voice. Given he's a VERY big doggie, it's pretty funny to see such hostility directed at my least favorite person. And it's a measure of my antipathy that despite being funny as heck, I still can't bear to hear him talk, despite the enjoyment of watching the raging beast!

He makes my blood boil and raises my blood pressure. That f*cking smirk just drives me over the edge. Living in the belly of the beast (Houston), I have to endure seeing W stickers everywhere. I hate these RW f*ckers so much that I saw a lighted notice sign on the freeway that read simply "Delay" and I cursed outloud " F*ck him!" before realising that it meant a delay not the bug killer! I'm actually pretty easy going but for sanity's sake like to keep W (and cronies) out of sight and hearing range! Whatever he has to say can ususally be read in the paper the day before anyway.

Edited on Thu Apr-21-05 08:11 AM by tanyev
As soon as that face and that voice appear I get very angry and start yelling at the TV. I finally decided it just wasn't healthy. Now if I have the news on, I always have the remote handy so I can turn it off quickly. Just muting is not enough, because I can't even stand to see him. I can barely stand it when AAR or the Daily Show plays clips of him to introduce a topic. And I also include the rest of the team: Cheney, Rice, Dumsfeld, Frist, DeLay, McClellan, etc. They don't have one iota of respect for me, so I don't know why I should have to listen to anything they want to say.

69. same here
Each time he was "elected" I thought, four more sotus to skip, and everything in between. Can't look at him. It was the same for RWR, eight long years. For some reason I could watch 41. Didn't grate on me the same way. Though if I'd known what was to come....

70. *raises hand* Hold on now
I need to mute the tv.

Yes, I'm in that camp as well. I also do the same thing with that disingenuous and nasty commercial about social security. You know...the one where they blame Democrats?

the minute I sense they are going to show a clip of him. I just cannot watch the idiot for a second. It was horrible during the election when all his lying commercials were running. The only time I hear his voice now is when they play a clip of him on AAR. I can't even stand impersonations of him. I don't ever remember having this reaction to any other president. I wish I could set my TV to block him whenever he appears. I think what bothers me is watching this massive, un-checked ego, with nothing to back it up. Not a shred of anything to justify such an inflated ego. He's a lifelong failure and yet he has no clue of it. That drives me nuts. Most people recognize that they are full of shit at some point, after so much failure, but he just doesn't get it.

77. The only time I ever enjoyed watching Bush
was during the first presidential debate of 2004, when he made a complete ass of himself. It was truly delicious to watch.

Otherwise, I'm with you: anytime I see his face on TV or the Internet, I immediately change the channel (or web page). His voice and face make my stomach turn.

In years to come (if there are to be any) they will argue about him, whether his ignorance is more profound than his mendacity.

80. The minute, the very minute the moron starts talking
I turn him off. I can't stand him or his mouth piece, Simple Scotty. Both of them make my stomach hurt. I can't take the lies that they spew forth.

81. Twilight Zone, Orwellian World, Hell.....
When am I going to wake up from this nightmare, and how did this retarded dimwitted moron ever get elected to anything, let alone President of the United States?

Has Shrub ever been right about anything in his entire life, or are we all just suppose to conform to that hamster running around the wheel in Shrub's head?

Heck, Otis from the Andy Griffith Show has more wisdom, intelligence, class, and grace than this dipshit.

If I want to know the latest idiocy to pour forth from that total waste of skin, I must read it. His voice, face, laugh and arrogant smirk literally raise my blood pressure past a safe level.
