could we start posting our letters to Time's editor re: Coulter?

We know that Time won't run them, so why don't start keeping a running tally here.
Forgive me if I missed this post earlier.

Okay I'll start. Here's my letter and the response from "Gloria" at Time:

Dear Editors: Yesterday I called your customer service department and
cancelled my subscription to TIME. It is the direct result of your puff piece on Ann Coulter.
Here's the problem: We barely have a media in this country anymore.
Clearly, you haven't noticed, but there are precious few journalists and news entities willing to do the hard work to actually REPORT, despite a rich array of targets.
We have a government out of control. We have a Congress that refuses to represent the interests of average Americans, and is willing to prostitute itself out to the highest corporate bidder.
We have a White House that has turned the notion of open government on its head - burrowing into the private lives of citizens while keeping the mechanisms behind public policy secret.
We have a broken election system that is fraught with fraud.
We have a couple of wars that are taking the lives of young Americans
every single day.
I could go on and on -- the environment, the economy, rising gas prices, the morally bankrupt bankruptcy bill.
What do I see on the prime real estate that is TIME magazine?
The picture of a hatemonger -- a vile, vicious hatemonger that doesn't
deserve the time of day, let alone the glowing valentine you gave her.
I could get this kind of pretend journalism and hate speech on just about any tv channel, and just about every AM radio channel. I go to magazines like TIME to try and educate myself about what's really going on in the world.
If this is what you choose to dish up as journalism, fine. I'm not paying for it, and I don't want this garbage in my home.
Peddle your wares to Ann Coulter fans -- if any really exist, beyond the
author of this article, and the editors who approved it.

I'm writing to inform you of my cancellation of my subscription to TIME due to the shoddy, inexcusable cover story on Ann Coulter. While it is your prerogative to make an editorial decision to award a cover story to a racist xenophobe like Coulter, I certainly don't have to subsidize it. Who at your august publication thought that the tired, hateful rantings of a right-wing misanthrope like Coulter was news?

I understand TIME's commitment to covering controversial stories and I have supported you even in times where I disagreed with the articles or commentary. But the insult of opening your magazine and being greeted by a neo-McCarthyite who would gladly throw me in an internment camp because I'm a liberal is too much to bear. There may be other liberals/progressives/Democrats (who comprise more than half of the voters in this nation) who are more forgiving, but I can no longer take you seriously as a news organization.

I received my renewal letter yesterday and in loud rede
marker I wrote a note acrosse it-

ANN Coulter? Forget it, I will NEVER renew.
Plus tell your people that CNN is LAME and
I just dropped cable too!
