My belief is that the ingenuity of humanity shows itself by the way humans all over the world find ways to explain their existence through their creation of deities. People have created an amazing variety of deities. That's fine with me. As for myself, I've come to the conclusion that there are only imaginary gods. Not a single one of them has any power. Anyone can believe for themselves in whatever they want as long as they are not harming others or trying to insert their views into my life. I support everyones right to believe as they wish but, I also defend for myself the right to question or debate any views I am exposed to. If Christians or Muslims or any others keep their views to themselves, or within their families or houses of worship, I have no concern with their beliefs. When they want to influence my life, I am going to decide if I want to take issue with their views.
Having said that, I'm certainly open to be convinced that some deity actually is real. I'd be foolish not to have an open mind about the possibility, no matter how doubtful I am. After all, I certainly don't have all the answers. Anyone who believes he or she can have a conversation with with a deity, I have settled on a simple test that your deity can use to make a believer of me. It is incredibly simple. All the deity has to do is give you my name, phone number and tell you to tell me the secret I have that is only known to me and whatever all-knowing deities there are out there. While you might think this is too much to expect a deity to do, I disagree. That simple little bit of information is all it will take for be to become a convinced, devout believer. Another advantage of this test is; the person who passes the message along to me will be able to "bring me into the fold". That ought to be some serious satisfaction for someone. So, if you would, please ask your deity my secret. Till you get the answer, keep your own mind open.
