Gannongate: Looks like Wolfowitz and/or Aziz al-Taee read DU!
Edited on Thu Apr-28-05 10:42 AM by HamdenRice
You may remember a long thread I started back in early March about Gannon's connections to Todd Blodgett and convicted crack vial kingpin turned Iraqi-American patriot and purveyor of false Iraqi intelligence, Aziz al-Tae'e of the Iraqi American Council.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=104&topic_id=3238821#3252231

So many DUers added remarkable information that the thread was cited all over the web on many blogs concerned with Gannongate.

DUer Roland99 even came up with a disturbing picture of convicted crack vial kingpin Aziz in a photo-op abrazo with none other than Paul Wolfowitz.

Well, surpise surpise, as Gomer Pyle used to say. The pictures of Aziz in a photo op with Wolfowitz have disappeared from the Web. I guess either Wolfowitz or Aziz read DU, after all. I guess if you were going to have confirmation hearings about being World Bank president, you wouldn't want pictures of yourself with a crack vial kingpin/Russian mob co-conspirator floating around in cyberspace either!

A couple of people said they would not just bookmark, but save this thread. Does anyone still have that photo? I am working on part II of the Gannongate Aziz connection and would really like to have that photo.

Edited on Thu Apr-28-05 10:52 AM by leveymg
information? Has it already gone down the memory hole, or are the elders biding their time in pursuing the "Gannon checks in but doesn't check out 14 times" revelations?

Is there ANYONE who's on this in the Party leadership or the major media?

Sorry I don't have that photo.

Thanks for what you've done!

6. Would any of these few
be the pic you're looking for?
http://images.google.com/images?q=Aziz+Wolfowitz&hl=en&btnG=Search+Images

I didn't read your whole past thread yet, so I'm afraid I'm out of the loop on this one.

Which of the links you previously provided had the pic on it?

17. If you go to the OP
it will refer you to the original thread. Both posts 45 and 172 had links to the pic of Wolfowitz and Aziz. Now the image is not available. The link was to an Iraqi American Council site I believe, which means that the Aziz organization itself took the pic down.

10. While I'm on the subject of Aziz...
Isn't it interesting that before he was threatened with deportation/deported, to become part of the new "Iraqi democracy", crack vial kingpin Aziz's landlord was none other than the federal government?

I wonder if they gave him a break on the rent, so long as he continued to spout false intelligence into the MSM and the duped Council on Foreign Relations?

Compare the address of this letter from al-Tae'e:

http://www.barzan.com/upcoming_events43.html

with this listing of federal owned properties:

http://www.iolp.gsa.gov/iolp/BuildingInfo.asp?bID=DC0698

Things that make you go hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.........

And I wonder how the "elite opinion makers" at the Council on Foreign Relations would react if they were informed that an expert speaker at their prestigious, exclusive "America at War" series was a crack vial kingpin selling bootleg software out of a beeper store in Philadelphia?

http://www.cfr.org/pub5791/eric_schwartz_william_l_nash_michael_s_doran_yitzhak_nakash_aziz_altaee/a_view_from_the_inside_why_has_the_road_to_baghdad_gotten_longer.php

Well, if the White House can be duped into allowing a gay whore into the press corp, we shouldn't be too hard on the CFR for letting a crack vial kingpin give lectures to elite opinion makers.

15. All kidding aside, ...
what do you think was the process by which it was scrubbed from the Iraqi council site? I don't mean to be conspiracy minded, but they must have known that Aziz's cover was being blown all over, including here, at DU. Someone had to instruct them to take down the original site, no???

16. I'm sure someone cleaned it.
Remember how quickly the Iran/North Korea nuclear plant photos were corrected?

And, considering those Gannon threads had to have been scoured by thousands of lurkers, I'm sure one of them was a GOP wonk who spread the word up the chain.

Thanks for keeping this going. I found your first analysis very intriguing, and think you may have found another piece of this crazy Gannon puzzle.

In my opinion the picture was purged because:

- page was old, and the site admins periodically delete old files
- the negative aspects of that photo

I am thinking the second one, and if it was because we brought it up here on DU, that just makes things juicier!

Keep this fire going.

Peace,
Sabra

22. Everything we do out here is certainly monitored...
"When they are paying attention,"... what we have to say is significantly important to them, or they'd ignore. Right. Common sense.

Guess they figured we'd be stifled, contrary to KKKove's reasoning.
