FBI raids Noe's condo, seizes 'some property'
Investigators seek evidence of campaign-fund activity

The federal probe into whether local Republican fund-raiser Tom Noe was illegally funneling money to the Bush campaign had been ongoing for months. It reached a turning point Wednesday night.

FBI agents swept into Mr. Noe’s Maumee condo about 7:30 p.m., spending three hours scouring the home of one of the most prominent Republicans in northwest Ohio. They were looking for evidence of violations of federal campaign contribution laws.

The federal probe is studying Mr. Noe’s campaign contributions to the President, and specifically contributions made by others who may have received money from Mr. Noe, possibly allowing him to exceed the $2,000 spending cap.

Jon Richardson, Mr. Noe’s attorney, said the search was “very civilized” and that Mr. Noe’s wife, Bernadette, cooperated with agents who removed “some property” from the condo. Mr. Noe was not home at the time of the search.

6. 1. I hope they turn up some vote fraud stuff. Probably not if anything
ends up in the hands of a partisan FBI department...oops....where did it go.

2. Now, how the heck does that work? The State of Ohio gives state contracts to people who inves in risky rare coins? What the heck is that?

".....has given large contributions to Republicans, while also obtaining state contracts in which he made millions of dollars investing in risky rare coins,”

10. There are also two missing coins valued at over $300,000 from
a year or so ago and some questionable land deals that go along with the entire mess. The story broke a few weeks ago about how unusal it is(I think we are the only state to do it), to put state money into a risky investments.

After all the crap people have to go through to collect Workman's compensation, then the state has the gall to invest money from that division into rare coins.

8. Awwwww...poor Noe...first the investigation of rare coin fund with OH.
and now this! :sarcasm:

That last snip is the really funny part. His wife tries to "get" another rethug and ends up with her hubby being on the receiving end.

Don't forget, she's also one of the "asked to resign or be fired" elections people in Toledo.

Me thinks there is a lot of fighting within the republican party in Oh.
