Poll question: Most effective way of stopping Buzis agenda?
Everybody is doing their own thing to protest the Baby Buzh agenda, but what do you think has the greatest chance of making a difference?

1. I'm Not Allowed
by DU rules, to post what I think will be necessary to stop the Buzis agenda. It's not on your list of options, probably for the same reason I can't actually voice it here...but you probably know what I'm thinking will be necessary. I wish there could be another way, but I don't see any other way.

They ignore our protests. They pen us up in "free-speech zones" a mile or more away from the intended target of the protest...and if they film any of it for the news, they always manage to find a way to make it look like a lot smaller a protest than it actually is.

The corporate media offers no solution. They are bought and paid for by our oppressors...who in turn, are bought and paid for by the media.

The ballot box offers no solution. Our enemies control the voting machines, which leave no paper trail...and they control the machinery that counts the votes...so the outcome is always sure to be exactly what they want it to be, no matter HOW we actually vote.

Civil disobedience is no longer an option. It won't work. We'll just get arrested, and the news media will make it look like it was "just a couple of kooks."

There is, in my mind, but one option left. And I'm not allowed to actually say what I think it is.

2. Look at the Soviet Union--in the end civil disobedience finished it off
at the White Palace.

Things have to get pretty bad before enough people join in with that, but with the falling dollar and Bush doing to America what Ken Lay did to Enron, we will get there pretty soon.

4. I've heard some old people who aren't even political say similar things
to your thought though.

6. Air America is a start

While much of the freeper world does not really know they exist, I believe their growing presence is slowly showing Murika an alternative viewpoint.

Everyday, Al Franken and others air blatant lies told by the right-wing media.

These lies can only go on so long, I believe....

7. That's absolutely right - who controls the media, controls the country
The far right wing had the patience to take control of the media slowly but surely. A concerted letter writing campaign over a number of years is what did it. If we wrote to the newspapers, TV networks, CNN, MSNBC, even Fox on a regular basis, they would get the idea that people like to hear news from a progressive viewpoint.

The other way the religious right has made an impact was from a ground level political campaign. The got their people quietly elected to city councils, school boards, whatever, without revealing their real agenda. Once they were in and established, they were able to work their evil.

Both of these steps take time and coordination. Is our country worth it?

8. Expose their involvement in 9-11. Once the sheeple wake up and see
that these people would do ANYTHING to further their agenda (including murdering nearly 3000 people on our own soil), they will demand impeachment and prosecution.

And it needs to happen soon, before they get desperate another to launch another attack (probably biological or dirty bomb).

So I voted for commercials. I would just run ads asking some of the many unanswered questions about 9-11. Show a picture of Tower 7 falling, ask how that happened when no planes hit it and why it was not even mentioned in the "official" 9-11 commission report. I'll betcha most people (outside of NY) still think only 2 towers fell.
