DON Imus didn't like being called "a cantankerous old fool" by MSNBC's Contessa Brewer on PAGE SIX. Brewer, a former news reader on Imus' show, also said the I-man doesn't know how to relate to "beautiful women." "With that fat ass she's got, she wouldn't be one of 'em," Imus said on the air Friday. "That skank has to spend three hours with makeup in the morning ... Who's she kidding? . . . Plus, she's dumber than dirt ... Oh, my God, what a pig. But I was willing to cut her some slack and not say anything, you know, until - in fact, I didn't say anything . . . That's why they have those big double-doors there at MSNBC, you know, so they can get her fat ass in makeup." An MSNBC spokesman said: "Contessa Brewer is a valued and respected employee. While Don Imus' humor is often brilliant and provocative, we believe that this morning's comments about Contessa went over the line. We have expressed our displeasure to Don."

2. How could anyone be surprised that Don Imus acted like an ass?

I mean, it's his whole persona. It's what they pay him to do, for Pete's sake. That's a precarious position to be in, though, because if the winds change your "witticisms" will no longer be tolerated, and you'll be out on your ass. We can only hope that starts happening to some of the RW windbags, sometime during our lifetimes....

3. Don Imus is an over-the-hill ancient...

cranky old fart and I'm glad that you know what he gets paid for because most of us have absolutely no idea of the reason. Before he turned into the skeletal remains of what he once was he was sometimes witty and humorous. Whoever decided he ought to be on TV is hopefully out of the business by now. At least on radio, nobody has to watch him and wonder if he will expire before the program ends.

I saw that racist/sexist fool the other morning.
He was saying how much pain he is in -- what is his problem other than all the drugs he takes, what a sham game he plays on the Machos.

A few weeks ago I watched as Don Imus berated contessa's inteligence repeatedly. In front of her. On the air! He was calling her a "news bunny" which she is. She sat there and tried to explain what she had just read to Imus because he was claiming she didn't understand it. he was right! She is nothing but a fucking news bunny! I am no fan of Imus either but if she had had one ounce of intelligence, the second he started insulting her should should have given it right back on the air. Or walked out. News bunny indeed!

don't have a clue what they're talking about most of the time, and the gall SHE had to implicitly include herself as one of the beautiful women just BEGGED for Imus to go off on her

I don't go too much for the sexist jokes (in real life....here, well, don't check my posts on the Human Refrigerator), but, if ever someone deserved it, this airbucket sure did.

As for Imus, everyone here has him pegged for the overthehill lamo that he is.

and WHY doensn't somebody with some nuts do the same thing to Pres. Dumbass as Imus did to WJC? I have that on tape, and it was truly, specTACularly vicious.....one of those moments when the best parts were looking at the reactions on the faces of the audience, WJC/HRC in particular. Didn't care for it much, but the cringe factor was off the scale, which made it MustSeeTV

7. I can't stand Imus

I won't listen to him even though he's supposedly billed as a liberal (he's on our liberal talk radio station before Stephanie Miller here in DC.)

And I'd rather look at Contessa than Imus anytime.

after the remarks he made during the last election cycle about Al Gore and John Kerry, I lost all respect for the show and never listen, in fact to any MSM.
