Another "capture" of a top-level official
Watching Countdown's KO (love that man!!) interviewing Roger Cressey, who claimed that this capture of the 3rd-in-command is great. Why do these captures and/or videotapes (OBL video prior to Nov. 2 in US) always emerge just before a major election?

1. The whole of Al Queda
must be high level cos i've never heard of anyone talking about an insignificant member being captured.

They've caught hundreds yet always in the top ten chain of command

2. Really
It's become such a joke. It makes them look big and macho and like they're doing something in reality they aren't. I'm sure if they wanted they could call their Saudi friends and ask for BinLaden and they'd deliver. But of course as long as BinLaden is out there they can say "look he's here! let's go!" and continue their little "war on terror" for their sick PNAC plans. Al-Quida is just their boogeyman. If you haven't watch the documentary "The Power of Nightmares."

3. Power of Nightmares
Was that the British documentary you mean? It was vry good.

The whole thing is like they've used Orwell's 1984 as a guidebook of how to control a large nation by fear. The constant back ground war. Accusations of unpatriotic thoughts.

Give me your freedoms and i'll make you free from terror.

We must control you to keep you free.

Political language at its nasty best.

As Orwell said. "Political language is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind"

4. Honestly, I don't think average Americans give a shit
We've all pretty much realized that Bush doesn't care whether we find Bin Ladin or not. The oil in Iraq is more important. Or was it WMD's? Or maybe nukular weapons? Or Saddam? Or human rights abuses?

If Rove thinks this capture is going to improve dimbo's stinky numbers, then he's got another think coming.
