NEW WINDSOR, N.Y. (AP) _ An immigrant from Guatemala was killed Wednesday when he was sucked into a wood chipper while working on a tree-cutting job here, authorities said.

Julio Hernandez, 42, of Highland Mills was working behind a home putting cut pieces of wood into the chipper when the accident happened, said police.

"An immigrant from Guatemala"

They forgot illegal in front of immigrant.

Sure is cheaper than deportation.

in this country, everyone of legal age is supposed to get an equal chance at the ballot box- regardless of intelligence, income, religion, race, sex, or any other way to divide the population.

and that's exactly how it should be...I'm willing to bet that the repugs would love an intelligence test be used to qualify voters- the vast majority of the illiterate and unintelligencia are generally poorer economically as well, and more likely to support the Democratic candidate.

Whether he was undocumented or not, that is a horrible way to die. A company hired him and he was doing a job. There is nothing wrong with that so the freepers ripping him for dying on the job are just sick. Hispanic men continue to be the ones that suffer most death and injury in the construction industry than any other person. And this way to die is just horrific.

I used to think that people were all basically the same, and political affilliation reflected nothing more than your opinion on certain economic issues.

I don't believe that anymore. Republicans sell their policies with hatred, fear, and greed- and that means they attract a certain type. They seek out the asshole vote, and they get it.
