Keep fighting. Let your Dem senators know you aren't a cash cow...
but keep fighting in other ways. Keep the noise loud and clear to your coworkers, your senators, the newspapers. If we at least go on record registering our objections to these continued abuses of power by a guy who BARELY got elected and a GOP party that BARELY has a majority in the senate, then we can shift the policy back toward the center.

That isn't to the left yet...but at this point we're stuck with reaching equilibrium before we can force real change on other fronts that are more ambitious.

I believe these aggressive postures by GOP are precisely the same kind of thing they like to point to about the insurgents in Iraq. Their ferocity and tenacity is directly related to the idea they realize the end game for them is near.

The demographics of this country in another 10 years or 20 years don't really point to an electorate favorable to stodgy Republicanism as we knew it in the past and DEFINITELY not the radical right wing-ism we see now.

So keep the faith....tell your senators the $$$ dry up unless they f*cking get some results this time instead of discussing near misses and moral victories...but keep the pressure on. Make them fight. for you. the people.

1. They're not getting $ from us.

They're getting it from lobbyists. It's our votes they are (supposedly) after. But, if the machines are rigged, what power do we really have?

2. one must consider all options as on the table
but we must figure out how to penetrate the skulls that are handing their hangman the noose.

if they can't see how they are being rigged themselves...they probably won't be of a mind to believe these cowards would rig voting machines

we must strike a solid hit for the moderate middle and grab them. DEMOCRATS GOTTA GO ON RECORD BELIEVING IN SOMETHING BESIDES GAY RIGHTS, RIGHT TO CHOOSE, and ENTITLEMENTS

what do Dems offer as positive alternative? THAT is the message I should be hearing every day and DON'T.

3. ??????????
So what's wrong with GAY RIGHTS, RIGHT TO CHOOSE, and ENTITLEMENTS? Add the ENVIRONMENT and IMPEACH * and you have a pretty good platform.
