Are we going about this all wrong?
Reposted from another forum from yesterday.

It seems we keep searching for that magically elusive "smoking gun" to prove to the bushbots that we have been right all along.
However, are we just chasing their tails?
Everytime something comes along that is damaging--such as the Downing Street Memo--they throw smoke bombs all over the place to distract the media. Then the story dies. This has happened on many occasions.
I don't think we will ever find ANYTHING that will be distracting enough because I am starting to believe that many people deep down inside KNOW the truth. But they don't want to acknowledge it, because then that would mean they were accomplices in the rape of our country. Perhaps the resistance we feel from them is their conscience trying to justify what they have helped to do.
Instead, give them an easy way out of their predicament. Let's accentuate positive things. Let's give them a positive reason to leave their current situation without rubbing their noses in the facts.
The current administration will self destruct as some point if we can pull enough people to our side.
I am wondering if it wouldn't be prudent to pick a "Few Good Men and Women" to instead just take our message to the streets.
Tell them what we stand for.
Tell them we are the party of "THREE". The party of individualism, the party of government accountability, and the party of unified responsibility.
The party of individualism guarantees you the right to make your decisions for yourself. You are the sole decision maker of how many children you have, you are the sole decision maker of who you choose to spend your life with, you are the sole decision make of which religion you want to follow and you are the sole decision maker of how you want to handle your end of life issues.
The party of government accountability ensures that all citizens will have healthcare, Social Security, and education for all that want it. The government will pursue peace with other countries, yet offering help with security for those who request.
The party of unified responsibility entwines the government and the people in the mission of taking care of our weakest and most fragile members of society by guaranteeing food and shelter to every member of our country.
This is what we stand for. We can't let another day go by without spreading our message of hope for this country.

1. I think so.
I think that at the core of things, a lot of people want to find the magical fact that will sweep the administration out of office like they were never there. Why? Revenge for The Clinton Follies. Well, ok, I would like to see that too, but in the meantime, our resistance to this regime has to be sustained, focused and endlessly vocal. We need PR like they have. We cannot stake all on one magic bullet.

I don't see much focus. It deeply concerns me. I do know that some are trying. That said, while we all have lives and bills and personal concerns, we have to get after it too.

Clearly, cogently and responsibly.
