have you ever had students who have used "Fair & Balanced" sources like Faux news, newsmax, or some fundie publication?

I once had a kid use National Enquirer as a primary source - it was for a Legal Ethics class.

The kicker was that the article was about my son-in-law, and it happened to be true.

I gave him an A.

2. thankfully, no....
I teach ecology and entomology, so my students cite papers in the scientific literature. By the time they get to my classes, most know better than to cite articles from unreviewed sources without major caution.
