Do YOU owe America an apology?

I know I do, and I'm guessing you do too.

I demand accountability from myself, and I must admit mistakes have been made!

I haven't lived up to the potential that being born a white male in the USA has granted me, and for that I am truly sorry.

In the runup to the 2000 elections I was unable to convince friends of mine to not vote for Nader, and for that I am terribly sorry.

I did not attempt to convince my parents to not vote for Bush in 2004. I chose to keep politics out of my family relationships. I am sorry. Well...sort of.

Oh, and I occasionally drive without a seatbelt, taking a risk that will potentially cause me to become a statistic that increases your healthcare costs. I apologize to each every one of you.

If John Kerry and Ralph Nader should apologize to the country, then I should too. They have both done more to work for the good of their fellow Americans than I ever will.

Fellow Americans, I am sorry.

Do you owe America an apology? Of course you do. No one can be held blameless in these our times.

Come on, admit it - mistakes were made.

I pay my taxes, I am law abiding, I have compassion for those less fortunate than me, I support my local schools, I am gainfully employed, I am a contributing member of society. And I hate the fascists who have taken over my country.

What do I have to apologize for?

6. I am sorry, America, for not realizing just how crappy our election system

is. I wish I had realized what Diebold et al were up to, wish I had thought to start pushing for election reforms years ago: http://timeforachange.bluelemur.com/electionreform.htm

If we could have gotten them under Clinton, imagine where we might be right now. :(
