Is Bush trying to get Laura martyred?
He gives advanced notice of her trips. Protesters get within a few feet of her. When Sec. Rice travels she is gone when the news breaks of her visit. It sure would cure his approval problems.

Shame on me for thinking this.

1. No. Not shame on you. It's a possibility, imo.
Partly because it's so unthinkable. Who would dream anyone would do such a thing. They excel at doing the unthinkable, routinely do the unspeakable.

Just proves what a pussy and wimp he is, he sends his wife into a combat zone that he fears to go in to. This sniveling coward is showing his true colors.

they have such tight security and keep him away from all of that and keep him around soliders who like him and all that nonsense. But yet with Laura she roams around and everything.

He has no stones, so he sends Laura to do his dirty work.

And it makes it easier to spend time with his girlfriend, Condi.

The woman preached hatred and divisiveness. She deserves no tears. These people have sold their souls for money, power and influence on the graves of the wronged. I understand the need for compassion but I'm completely dry when it comes to these ghouls.

...and commending that usage (especially when the conservatives are the one that did it, according to you). If you want to applaud the conservatives for using governmental power to quash personal freedoms, be my guest. Just don't call yourself a liberal when you do it.

52. I doubt Babs Olson is dead.
Since the plane she was supposedly on never went anywhere near the Pentagon, it's obvious she didn't die there. Plus there were a number of DOD folks, Raytheon employees, etc. on that alleged flight.

Seems like just the crew that might be smuggled into the "underground city" in the Virginia mountains where the shadow government base is. If I had the money, I'd hire a private investigator to track Ted Olson's every move. I'll bet he "disappears" a great deal of the time, hanging out with Babs in her not-so-eternal resting place.

Edited on Sun May-22-05 10:51 AM by FreedomAngel82
I wonder if she voted for Kerry too. That would be hilarious I think. I think Laura and George were set up like they used to do families and set them up with people. Laura had another boyfriend who was killed in that accident she was in and then George was with another girl who was African-American. George got the other girl pregnant and they had it set up for her to have an abortion. She was talking about it in 2002 and after she started going public she ended up dead. There's this show called "Passions" on NBC and on the show these two really rich families did business together and one had a son and one had a daughter the same age's and they were set up by their father's to get married. They both were in love with other people (the guy was inlove with an African-American and the girl was in love with a poorer boy who was a great person) and they had to get married. They had two daughters and a son and she had a son with the first guy she was with and kept the paternity a secret for a VERY long time until documents were leaked he wasn't a part of the family except through marriage by his mother (and they divorced). I think that's how it is with George and Laura. Is there any info out there about Laura's parents? They claim some friends set them up but I think there's something else there (call it "gut" instinct). You can just see it in their eyes. You don't see Bush look at Laura too much the way that the Clinton's or Kerry's look at each other for example.

I thought that would be the route he would take for sympathy support.

Laura needs to do some serious thinking about the kind of people she's surrounded by. They're using her. They have no respect for her whatsoever. OTOH, what's to respect?

Why be ashamed? It's a thought and you're wondering. Maybe he's planning something big and wants to keep her away so she doesn't get in the aftermath or something. Also, don't forget that when the whole air plane incident was going on she was in the House with Mrs. Reagan and they fleed them to the basement and he was just out in Maryland bike riding with not a care in the world.

It's intrinsic to conservatism: when you have all the answers, exploring the ways of others just isn't necessary.

Maybe she's the one who pretzeled him on the face that night when he was in a drunken panic about Enron. It wouldn't surprise me to hear that she's the iron lady who keeps his snivelly, weak ass in line. Maybe this is how he gets his revenge.

This is all pretty silly, actually, but these guys are so supremely unprincipled that virtually anything's possible...

33. Notice that this article says she was at the Dome of the Rock
That is THE big spot for the right-wing fundies and their crazy end-of-the-world predictions. Something to the effect that when a Jewish temple replaces the mosque that is currently there, that is the big sign that Jesus is getting ready to return right to that spot.

I read that article earlier and thought the same thing, which was -- holy cow, if something had really happened to her, there would be people going nuts all over the place.

Also, thought about those reporters asking Scotty how come Bush just rode his bike with seeming no concern about her when it was evacuated and didn't seem to care that no-one told him. Really, really weird.

belief.
It's much more believable to consider that if the Jews tear down the Dome of the Rock, it would launch a major Armageddon-type war than to think that everyone is just going to be Raptured and disappear.
