Whenever I look at a lake & see a Republican swimming in it I think
..if it weren't for us Democrats, none of you Republicans would have so much as a clean puddle of water to stick your toes in. You'd be stuck cooling off in polluted, maggot-infested cesspools instead.

Every time I look at a public park and see Republicans playing or jogging there, I think to myself..if it weren't for us Democrats, there wouldn't be a park left in the country because Republicans wouldn't pay the taxes it takes to support such wonderful places.

We fight our asses off to protect and preserve everything for everyone to enjoy, and all we get is crucified along the way for doing it.

If it weren't for us, there would be no environment to worry about because it would be all gone.
If it weren't for us, there would be no equal rights for anyone.
If it weren't for us, there would be no highways, no cultural events, no drinkable water, and no state or federal parks to play in. There would be NO NOTHING, because if it were up to THEM, there would be no taxes, no wildlife, no trees, no clean water, no freedom. There would only be barren wastelands dotted with churches.

Why is it, then, that we Democrats are always fighting for everything it takes to keep a country healthy and running efficiently, yet it's the Republicans who thoroughly enjoy it all at OUR expense?

Christ if it weren't for us fighting to save and protect everything all the time, they wouldn't have jack shit.

Every time one of you Republicans cools off in a clear lake, plays in a park with your kids, cruises down an unpolluted river in your yacht, hikes a mountain, fishes in a pristine stream, hunts in the woods....how about you fucking thank us for a change...for preserving for you the opportunity to enjoy all of the above.

1. Amen, and ain't it the truth?
They constantly bitch about our policies, yet have no problem sucking up the benefits of those policies.

2. That's funny because
whenever I looked at the oil slick left floating behind on the surface I oftened wondered where it came from. Thanks for clearing that up for me. They should go back to their gated communities and shut themselves off from the real world and leave the rest of us to run it for them. What the hell, we do anyway.

4. I hate the fact
that we work really hard to clean things up, take care of them, make them safe and available for everyone and all it takes is a couple of Republican years to destroy it all. All that work and money and we will have to start all over again from changing the rules back, cleaning it up etc.

If it stays up to them we will not be able to walk out of our homes without a suit and a helmet before long.

Really, why would you want to get all the money they are accumulating if you could not enjoy it? I understand the Armegeddon people (they are just nuts) but the people who just want to make money off of all of it I don't get at all.

6. And just imagine if we DIDN'T fight to preserve and protect
our natural resources and our liberties.

Not only wouldn't they have anyone to bitch at for doing so, but they wouldn't have anywhere to play, anywhere to hunt, fish, or swim, any water to drink, or anywhere to express themselves.

It's amazing how the people who fight to preserve the health and integrity of our country are the people who lose elections.

9. and I'm sick of losing elections BECAUSE of it
It's absolutely ironic that we're the ones preserving THEIR playgrounds, yet they fight us tooth and nail for doing it.

There ought to be a law that anyone who voted for Bush should not be allowed into a public park or onto a beach. Maybe that would slap them out of their ignorant state of mind.

"SORRY, THIS BEACH IS CLOSED TO REPUBLICANS!"

5. I call it "Red (State/Area) Rage"
not only are they dependent on those pinko peacenik welfare statists to keep us from turning into Sudan and commie hippie gay Jewish California and Sheekagoe and New York for their teevee. Just like the big ranchers with their dollar-a-year range rent and subsidized everything, the redder areas are also dependent appendages, with some expections, of the "big gub'mint" and the donor states, which are mostly blue and full of weak city people, etc., etc.
This all burns them up, like the "independent" Randroids that keep ending up being officially dependent and unemployed (they blame the darker people "swarming" into the country, of course).

Union....electricians, plumbers, and utilities with low pay employees, that don't give a shit, or never had the proper training...or cops and firemen on low wages....(lower wages and no protections like insurance)

15. Yet, come election time, we're villainized for fighting for what's right
If it weren't for us Democrats, the repukes would be the biggest complainers on the planet because they wouldn't have anywhere left to use their toys. They are truly ignorant as to what makes things click.

We fight for everyone's resources & everyone's rights. They rape the land and limit our freedoms. We lose the elections. Figure that.

14. They are either the pasty looking ones with ther hair glued in place, or..
.. they are in cut off jeans wearing either a wife-beater tee or a NASCAR t-shirt.

Not to stereotype or anything, but in my REDneck of the VA woods, that's pretty much the trend.

26. That's a topic for a different thread but here's one easy way that applies
to this thread, as far as telling the difference.

Next time you go to "that" lake, and you sprawl out on the beach, observe the people around you and their kids. You'll notice some parents who toss out a few rules at their kids, & then send them on their merry way. If their kids do something against THEIR rules, they'll either just yell at them without explaining...or they'll spank them. Then if that kid starts crying, they'll holler, "aw, suck it up." Guess what parents those are.

OTOH, you'll notice other parents who take the time to explain to their kids, and who are more nurturing towards them....parents who treat their kids more like human beings. Guess who those parents are.

It doesn't take superpowers to tell the difference.

27. What if the parents say, "I'll give you something to cry about...."
That was my Dad . . . .and he's a lifelong Dem.

For the record, not all Democrats are pussies. I grew up in a steel town full of Dems. Do you think a guy with a union jackets is a Dr. Spock follower? And the black kids I grew up with had fathers who would beat their asses at a moment's notice.

On the other hand, the Right-Wing Christians next door were the first parents I ever saw use "time out."

30. What are you talking about?
Who the hell said or implied that Democrats are pussies? What, nurturing their kids = being a pussy? Jesus H Christ!!

Anyway, for sake of simplicity, let's just make believe that all the people I see swimming at lakes have their political identities written across their back in big letters.
