Anti-Tom DeLay rally canceled.
Edited on Fri May-27-05 12:34 PM by Cyrano
The "Old-Hippies/Anti-Delay-Rally", scheduled to be held at Woodstock this weekend, (clothing optional), has been canceled.

Judges had already been chosen for the "George Bush Attempts to Speak English" contest, and the DeLay impersonator had to cancel. (No one else was available to play the role. Ted Bundy is dead and Charles Manson couldn't get a weekend pass.)

The hundreds who were to be bused in and paid for the "GOP Let's Spit on the Poor" demo were disappointed.

It seems that Karl Rove heard about the event and threatened to deport the county commissioners to Texas.

Suggestions for a new time and place are welcome. (The Richard Nixon Memorial Septic Tank is booked for the July 4th weekend, so that's out.)
