More blah from the heart of stupid
Speaking out for the first time in favor of controversial base closings, President Bush said Friday the nation is wasting billions of dollars on unnecessary military facilities and needs the money for the war on terrorism.

This round of base closings is the continuation of a policy in place looooooooooooooooooooooong before the war on terror, Sept 11 or what ever current * jingoism started. The base closing will save 48 billion over 20 years. Which is about 6 months of Iraq. I'd say * was lieing, but he sounds more like trying to make the grapes sound sour anyways.

1. I'm sure you mean from the "bowels" of stupid
Juxtaposing the word "heart" anywhere near the name "bush" is just plain irresponsible :P

2. Let's review
Less bases = less home for military = less security. While saving money is good, why lower our security by not having places to put our troops. When 9-11 happened, bases were very important. Now they're a waste of money? I wish Republicans would make up their minds.

3. Well
it's a classic case of making up a reason for continuation of a proposal that has been in the pipeline long before you were even in office. The whole idea comes from the dark old ages when Republicans really were interested in balancing budgets and stream lining the military. The money saved is peanuts compared to the elective war Bush decided to fight. If he really wanted to save money to fight terrorism he'd leave Iraq today. This instant!
