As a Muslim, I am troubled by the RW'ers of my religion, they are the ones that make up Al Qaeda and other terrorist groups.
I can see a similar thing with Christianity. The 'christian' Right is not some tiny little persecuted religious Minority that seeks to make things right, they are a DANGEROUS group that seeks to hurt, maim, and kill innocent people.
Myth - The 'christian' Right is not dangerous. Truth - The 'christian' Right has supported RW Death Squads and Brutal Dictators along with people that would later become Islamic Terrorists. This is VERY dangerous.
Myth - The 'christian' Right represents a 'culture of life' Truth - The 'christian' Right, along with many other RW groups, joined up to defeat Clinton's Health Care Plan. I don't know exactly, but I think it is fair to estimate that 1000's of people have died over the years because of a lack of Health Care.
Myth - The 'christian' Right is actually very inclusive Truth - The 'christian' Right supported Apartheid, enough said.
Myth - The 'christian' Right is not partisan, just simply Conservative Truth - There have been Partisan ties shown that exist between the 'christian' Right and the GOP.
The GOP is quickly becoming the Political Arm of the 'christian' Right (In Texas, this is already the case). I implore Congressmen regardless of Political Party to drop the 'christian' Right before something similar to what happened in Iran decades ago happens in the United States.
