the war cheney's company put in a bid to rebuild Iraq's oil fields and was under investigation. It all now makes sense. I just wish I could find that article and what ever happened he is still VP and those are or should be serious charges.

Cheney, however, is standing firm and recently told Senator Patrick Leahy of Vermont to “fuck off” when the Senator questioned him on the Halliburton matters.

According to White House sources, President George W. Bush laughed the matter off at a recent cabinet meeting.

“Fuck ‘em all,” Bush said.

The President’s bravado, however, is not shared by worried White House aides. Some point to the last vice president to step down because of fraud and corruption – Spiro T. Agnew, who served under President Richard M. Nixon, another Republican forced to leave office because of scandal.

2. The bush/Cheney Underworld must be a thing of vast dimensions.
(Someday soon, I hope to see a huge graph of it in the aftermath of sweeping criminal prosecution and conviction)

If we could expose the bush/Cheney Underworld of corruption, death and destruction some of us just might faint from the shock of it all.

This reminds me of tending Scotch moss, which was plagued with grass shoots sprouting up all over the place. Lifting the pad of moss up exposes the network of pale grass roots (which form a 'vast' conspiracy of infiltrative growth) and allows for merciless picking.

If only we could find a mechanism to expose the bush/Cheney Underworld and rip the entire network out of commission .
