25 U.S. Soldiers Killed This Week in Iraq
http://wagnews.blogspot.com/2005/06/25-us-soldiers-killed-this-week-in.html

Twenty five U.S. troops have died this week in separate incidents in war-torn Iraq. And at least 75 people, including eight police officers and 40 fighters, have been killed on Saturday in unrelenting violence.

The U.S. deaths have taken place across Iraq, in combat and claimed non-combat incidents. Five U.S. Marines, most in their early 20s, were killed in a roadside blast in western Iraq Thursday. Another soldier was killed Wednesday in Tikrit when an improvised explosive device detonated near his Bradley Fighting Vehicle.

Sgt. Roberto Arizola, Jr., 31, of Laredo, Texas, was also killed Wednesday in Baghdad in an IED blast. Two other soldiers were killed in Tikrit the same day after an explosion of unknown origin.
Another soldier died Tuesday in Tal Afar when his unit was attacked by using rocket-propelled grenades and small arms fire. Also Tuesday Spc. Eric T. Burri, 21, of Wyoming, Mich., died in Baghdad, in another IED attack.

2. That's just a focus group.
why should Bush pay attention to the input of just 25 people even if some of 'em are Americans?
He talks to God.

3. Spot on
The great thing about this president is that he doesn't pay attention to focus groups or special interests.

He takes orders directly from the man upstairs.

6. Why are you so obsessed with the sensational?
Vice President Dick Cheney thinks that those 25 deaths are not nearly as important at the 135,000 troops who didn't die or who didn't engage in torture, or who didn't bomb civilians and claim it was an insurgent stronghold. The media just want to focus on the negative! For shame.

7. According to the latest
dispatch from "The Voice of the White House" * wants to bring back the draft, but the military won't let him. So he's going to do the next best thing and go into the prisons to get new recruits.

Mark my word. This war will go on forever. The days of honest elections are over. * or someone just as evil will keep feeding the bodies into the Middle East maw for the rest of our lives.

9. I am not much of an absolutist, but there is absolutely No Doubt
about that.

We have been captured by an endless war-making machine. Is this not at least Dereliction in their Duty to keep America safe? Or Criminal Incompetence?

Bush Kills.

A free antiwar song download

“A gripping, emotional anti-war ballad of the experience of a GI in Iraq”
–Amazon.com

Grammy-winning guitarist Robert Cray just released his new song about a soldier in Iraq, and it’s a free mp3

download: http://www.truemajority.org/

some of lyrics:

"Standing out here in the desert
Trying to protect an oil line
I'd really like to do my job but
This ain't the country that I had in mind
They call this a war on terror
I see a lot of civilians dying
Mothers, sons, fathers and daughters
Not to mention some friends of mine
Some friends of mine

Was supposed to leave last week
Promises they don't keep anymore
Got to fight the rich man's war"

19. "It's not terrible, it's just a fact"
General Peter Pace, on CSPAN today concerning 50 attacks a day, "It's not good, it's not bad, it's just a fact."

Translation, "ask someone who gives a shit."
