Guess what? Guest on TDS: Iran helped plan 9/11!
Edited on Thu Jun-16-05 10:30 PM by BullGooseLoony
Yes, Kenneth Timmerman literally said that Iranian leaders helped plan 9/11 with bin Laden's son and number two man.

He also said that the Iranian young people are passionately resistant to the Iranian leadership. So obviously they'd be bringing us...gift baskets...if we invaded, right?

And that there's a coming nuclear confrontation with Iran. Yes, Iran has nuclear weapons, apparently.

Where, oh where, have we heard this before?

56. Logic 101...If He Had 'Em Why Didn't He Use 'Em
That's the conveluted mindmeld games the wingnuts play in their vain hopes of pretending this invasion was legitmate.

Now the concept of these weapons was to lash out at his enemies...and especially if his back was against the wall. I don't care how efficient our military was...Hussein knew the walls were caving and if he's as ruthless as we're led to believe, why wouldn't he have used every weapon in his arsenal. He sure didn't hold back in shooting skuds into Israel in '91. The reason he didn't do it in 2003 is he didn't have any...duh.

Same thing they said for Afghanistan and in the begining Iraq.

This is scary, butI don't know who this guy is, he might be a political performance artist. If he's for real, they're trying to crank up the next war. And being them, they have a plan to do it. Americans and innocents are expendable. How attractive will the secret big picture be when their kids are required to help paint it?

18. hoo boy. That's what the Whitewash Commission claimed
last summer:

"Iran gave free passage to up to 10 of the September 11 hijackers just months before the 2001 attacks and offered to co-operate with al-Qa'eda against the US, an American report will say this week.

"The all-party report by the 9/11 Commission, set up by Congress in 2002, will state that Iran, not Iraq, fostered relations with the al-Qa'eda network in the years leading up to the world's most devastating terrorist attack." (London Telegraph, July 18, 2004)

Now we know why.

Remember?

They didn't even bother to change the stupid lie. These people are despicable! The hubris of these neocons is not just despicable, but dangerous.

23. Timmerman is a renown RIGHT WING writer and a Fox News favorite
Edited on Thu Jun-16-05 10:51 PM by Julius Civitatus
He's just peddling lies based on one single source (like they did before Iraq) to start another war.

What I found the most despicable is how this mendacious fucker Kenneth Timmerman is selling THE SAME STORY they used to sell us Iraq:

"The Iranians really, really love us! They really, really looooove America! It's just the mullahs we need to get rid of, and then the Iranians will welcome us with flowers and candy..."

Motherfucking liar! The same lie! The same!

For the record, this Kenneth Timmerman is the same radical right-wing author that wrote a racist tirade against Jesse Jackson entitled "Shakedown : Exposing the Real Jesse Jackson."

He also wrote a hateful, xenophobic attack on the French because they didn't support the Iraqi adventure: "The French Betrayal of America"

And of course, he wrote some virulent anti-Clinton garbage in which he suggested Clinton was in cahoots with the communists China: "Selling Out America."

Check out all his work: Kenneth Timmerman's opus

Why does Jon Stewart bring this clown in his show and let him get away unscathed?

47. Wonder who scheduled Timmerman on TDS singing ** Gotterdamung
Edited on Fri Jun-17-05 09:55 AM by gordianot
Did they force Stewart to do this? I think not, this is high Opera and hope Stewart sees it as such. For a comedy show this is as close to real news as we get and is close to art. They should do a parody of Wagner German Opera with Rice, Babs and Pickles as Valkyrie's picking up the bodies off the field invading Iran

All the elements for the Opera are here:

1. It was known that Al-Quida was in Iran before we invaded Iraq. So what is new? Deceit, betrayal, death

2. Think you have an insurgency now in Iraq try Iran? Watch the Iranian kids throw away their blue jeans and take up guns.

3. Iran is client state and is being armed by Russia who would just love to see them use new Russian missiles on a carrier task force. Grand battles and gory glory.

4. A cast of characters that defy description? Bush, Rummie, Putin, Dick, Ayatollahs, Insurgents, be-headings

5. The possibility of ending this in fireball. Yes Iran may actually have WMD's who is stupid enough to want to find out? Gotterdamung

When you think about it the last 5 years defies description beyond the weirdest techno novel, Opera, or Cinema.

Only problem is we can't close the book or walk out of the theater, there is not any art involved. This is real life. Comedy News Show on the Comedy Channel? Amazing

I was surprised Stewart had him on as a guest cause the guy seemed loony. Really. He had "Runaway Bride" eyes. Maybe he's on medication. Or perhaps TDS has so many thoughtful, erudite guests that this guy suffered badly by comparison. I'm not familar with him. But his presence was alarming. I wanted to call 911 on his behalf.
