Operation Yellow Elephant - a plan to encourage military recruitment
What a first class idea, and the name is so appropriate. Let's give these folks a chance to redeem their manhood, fighting in the war they had such a hard on for, and get themselves out of the mess they created. And think about the video, as these fine young cowards grow into the political candidates they so aspire to be. "Excuse me Potential Senator So & So, why did you refuse to protect America from terrorists back in 2005? We have you on the following video saying you had other priorities. Roll tape. "

I suppose that a number of you are wondering if I've been co-opted by the French. After all, one could reasonably assume that Operation Yellow Elephant is designed to embarrass College Republicans. Nothing could be further from the truth. I'm actually trying to help them.

<snip>

Their greatest weakness is their almost pathological reluctance to fight in the war they demanded. It makes them look cowardly and hypocritical. That's especially true now that our military is suffering a manpower crisis. It'll take bold action on their part to change that perception. That's a tall order. Boldness is an alien trait to Hawks who are too timid to fight. We'll need to provoke them into defending their honor.

College Republicans have a lot to be proud about. Their courageous affirmative action bake sales and immigrant hunts are important elements of the internal phase of our Glorious War to Resubjugate Brown People. Just as important is the role they play in subsidizing our greatest conservative thinkers. People like Ann Coulter, David Horowitz, and Michelle Malkin would never get a speaking gig if College Republicans weren't demanding that universities book them. By doing so, the College Republicans free up Scaife money for more important character assassination operations like the Arkansas Project and the Swiftboat Vets.

2. An Excellent Idea, Sir
There really is no excuse whatever for a college age Republican to be anywhere but the infantry....

"What did you do in the war, Daddy?"

5. OK, so here's an idea for some local protests: A "Drive-in Protest"
Close to my home, there is an Army recruiting office in an outdoor strip mall.

They could probably chase us away for trespassing or loitering on their property.

But what I don't think they can do is tow our cars away if they're legally parked.

So, my idea is to put big protest signs in the windows of our car while we sit next door and eat pizza and keep an eye on our cars.

Also, this is not legal advice, but I don't believe it is legally considered trespassing unless you stay after they have asked you to leave.

So we could probably designate one person to hand out pamphlets until they ask him or her to leave.

Then, after the police or mall security have left, a DIFFERENT person can distribute literature until THEY are asked to leave.

Anyway, it could be done as a silent, "Drive-in" protest.

And the recruiting office I am thinking of has parking right in front of their windows.

What do you guys think?

6. I think it can work. And local media with cameras on these guys
as they turn away in shame because they really don't support the troops, really don't support this war - they just want a bandwagon to jump on cause OxyRush has told them.

15. That is so funny
I went to the local mall a few days ago and the Army recruiter had a special rock climbing wall set up and was passing out info. I am 25 and have really short hair. I walked by trying not to get too close, didn't say a word, but 2 of the guys there said hi. I said hi back, but was getting ready to give them my spiel about how I didn't want to get sent to Iran or Syria.

17. What I'm amazed by here is with John McCain!!!
Why do so many democrats back John McCain as president, or as anything??!???

According to msnbc.com majority of democrats really back McCain.

As far as I'm concerned this is unacceptable because there is very little about McCain that has been good for civil liberties.

He's a friend to the PNAC squad and hardly ever gets mad at Bush or anyone for breaking the law. That just does it for me. I believe this whole party needs to get rid of every single democrat in name only, and fast because its full of those type of democrats who back a fast talking, southern accent that loves corruption.

It's time to change everything on its head. Support speaking out for a new america.
