Any bets on what the talking heads will say this Sunday
re the Conyers hearings?

Last night Randi Rhodes said the media are downplaying the DSMs as "Everybody knew Bush didn't tell the truth anyway." She was furious.

My guess is that the Sunday morning bloviators will spin like crazy that it doesn't matter that they sat on their butts and didn't report the truth about the reasons and the circumstances for the war in Iraq.

1. My guess is zero ...
it never happened in their world, so there's nothing to report.

5. What is at Stake
If the DSM are mentioned at all, they will be dismissed and the focus will be on what will happen to the US if we don't continue to fight terrorism. They may throw in some "progress" reports, too.

Let's hear it for the good guys and gals: Molly Ivins, Ellen Goodman, E.J.Dionne, Tom Oliphant. Who did I leave out?
