My emotions spend waaaaay too much time on my sleeve
Or maybe I spend too much time on DU and my emotions are just .... emoting.

Just recently .... like the last few days ......

I'm up .......

Dean speaks truth to power ...... gets slammed .... speaks anew ....
Clark defends him .... nearly a lone voice in the wilderness .....
Conyers is doing it. Putting the big whup-ass on 'em ......
There's actual media coverage .... not great ... but its out there .....
More than half a million signatures ......
Letter gets delivered through iron bars to an iron fisted goon in a black suit ........
Cameras record the event for posterity ...
A Senator stands on the Senate floor and speaks strong and unapologetically .....
The Schindler daughter is shown to have died fifteen years ago and Jeb shows callous disbelief ...... Frist goes into freefall ......
Much more good stuff ......
Dennis and Jones(?), a NC repub, call for an Iraq timetable ... bipartisan slam to idiot son ......
Gitmo defended based on menus ....... just plain stupid on its very face .... deliciously stupid ......

I'm down .....

Dean gets skewered by some in his own party ......
Kerry's former national campaign co-chair, one Harold Ford, shows his true allegiances? ........
Clark signs on with Fox ........
Big Dawg goes on Letterman and ...... covers? Is lukewarm? Maybe it was an impostor?
Sensenbrenner shuts down the House Judiciary hearings .......
Most Dems ...... silence on Conyers' 'forum' .......
Kerry ..... promises ..... then crickets .... chirping loudly in the silence .....
Hillary ..... palsy walsy with .... Frist????? ......

All in the last week or so .......

I'm up ...... I'm down ..... I laugh .... I cry ..... I cheer .... I curse .....

Is it that bad or am I just paying too much attention?

Is it that bad or has it always been like this and I never noticed?

Are the uninformed the happy ones?

Is ignorance really bliss?

Does knowledge really cause pain?

Is a roller coaster ride healthy?

Will it all end?

1. There's a lot happening right now.
No, it won't end soon. It's going to get crazier still.

:toast: Cheers!

3. you just chronicled my emotions for the last week too.
It's hard for me not to talk politics constantly--when I'm at work I have to bite my tongue to keep from telling everyone I know about Plame, DSM, my love of Conyers, etc...

4. Rolling right along with you here. And yes, we do spend too much time here
BUT WE WANT TO SEE SOMETHING HAPPEN and we want to know there are lots of us still working toward that!

5. Sometimes I think life would be better if I were just an uniformed sitcom
watcher ....... but my wife isn't, our kids (adult) aren't, my business partners aren't .... and we're all of a like mind. There's just no escaping it.

6. You have to be discerning and pick the fights you fight. Otherwise
they will have exhausted you emotionally. That is how Milosovitch and Saddam Hussein & Hitler ruled so many.

So pace yourself. We need you in fighting form come election time!!!

Try and get some balance in your life for now. Plant a community garden or mentor a kid. Do something totally political - but that does not take so much out of you. You could do research for buy blue.
