Read the article - the tone is beyond condescending right from the desk of KKKarl Rove. And yes, that IS the real title of the article.

Democrats Play House To Rally Against the War

By Dana Milbank

Friday, June 17, 2005; Page A06

In the Capitol basement yesterday, long-suffering House Democrats took a trip to the land of make-believe.

They pretended a small conference room was the Judiciary Committee hearing room, draping white linens over folding tables to make them look like witness tables and bringing in cardboard name tags and extra flags to make the whole thing look official. Rep. John Conyers Jr. (D-Mich.) banged a large wooden gavel and got the other lawmakers to call him "Mr. Chairman."

2. Wha??!! Your source is a extreme right wing publication...
So Townhall is dissing the Washington Post for an editorial on DSM? (BTW, I haven't read the article, I refuse to give Townhall any hits.)

3. They use quotes from the article...I don't know about townhall
(found this in a google news search)

Apologies if they made up the quotes from the article but the Post quotes DO seem to belittle the proceedings.

If this is what passes for journalism at the WP, then we're in worse shape than I thought.

I think the entire fury of DU should come down on Milbank for this one.

Nominated for "Greatest Page."

6. That's OK - this will lead to the marginalization of MSM.
They are becoming irrelevant. They know it - but they stupidly think we don't know it. I've always thought most reporters were people of average intelligence who think the rest of the world is much, much less intelligent than they are. That is their mistake!! Underestimating their audience. Overestimating themselves. Might have worked without the Internet. But - as more and more people find out they can't get real news from the MSM - more and more will turn to the Internet to stay informed. In just 5 minutes online they can get more important information that spending 1/2 hour going over a newspaper or watching a TV newscast.

Na na na na - na na na na - hey hey hey - Goodbye!!

11. Sadly, that didn't happen in the 2004 election....
Even though I FIRMLY believe Kerry won, he SHOULD have won by 20 points with all the HORRIBLE, TRUE information online about Iraq, 9/11 & the economy but ignored in the MSM. The MSM whored for 2 years for Bushco.
And about 50 million people STILL voted for the war criminal and his cabal.

I think the MSM IS already irrelevant with some of us in the country but the majority still "flip on the news" or "glance at the front page" to get their information. Hopefully that will change.

15. I think DU'ers are just ahead of the curve. Doesn't mean it won't happen
Just won't happen as fast as it should. Most people are slow to adapt - but change does happen. These people (MSM) are digging their own graves!

22. What, pray tell, is the "Western White House" at Bush's ranch?
A blue drapery and a sign stuck on it, so he doesn't look like he's on vacation for days on end (even though he is). Remember, this was to justify his taking a month off to "clear brush" and fish before September 11th, 2001.

Hold Milbank's feet to the fire.
