What party does McCain think he’s a member of?

On Meet the Press yesterday, he twice invoked the “Party of Lincoln” and the “Party of Teddy Roosevelt” bullshit.

What the hell does the current GOP have to do with Lincoln or Teddy Roosevelt? Nothing!

Also, he spoke passionately about the need to protect the environment. How the hell can he do this? He is a member of the greatest threat to the environment — the Republican Party.

Unbelievable!

What makes this man tick?

Why does he defend the men who slimed the shit out of him in 2000?

The said thing is that legions of Democrats would vote for McCain. That is, they would vote for the “fantasy McCain.”

And I disagree, I don't think legions of Democrats would vote for McCain. This one certainly wouldn't. It was appalling to watch McCain get run into the ground by * during the 2000 primary, then turn around and kiss his butt.

But I didn't buy it. How can you agree on the major issues with the President as he says he does but then be all concerned about how the war in Iraq is being carried out and being concerned with Gitmo and our image. That is a major issue and if you really feel as you feel Sen McCain then you do not agree with the President on the major issues. Sounds to me like he is trying to run for President and appealing to everyone by not making sense in interviews like the one he had with Tim Russert.

8. They would vote for MEDIA MCCAIN. McCain covered up for BushInc in his

senate probe into bad intel. McCain concluded it was all just bad intel from CIA and blamed the analysts.

We know the analysts were reporting back in Oct2002 that Bush was cooking the intel books, but, apparently McCain chose to blame THEM for misleading Bush while absolving Bush from any connection to the bad intel.

McCain wasn't expecting DSM to emerge. He should be brought down for using his Senate panel to COVER UP FOR BUSH.

McCain is probably a good man. (We all know he's had some terrible (understatement) experiences in his life.) But, why didn't his life experience make him more liberal? I don't trust anyone with the background of McCain that can still kiss up to the Republican Party and I never will. Never!
