"did rove break the law" is the WRONG FRAME!
once again, banana republicans and their msm cronies have succeeded in raising the bar for scandal.

the question has become, did rove break the law. of course, we all think the answer is "yes", but, should he get off, by hook or by crook, this frame lets them say he was "cleared of all wrongdoing" and the scandal 100% vanishes.

hogwash.

the real scandal is, "how can these banana republicans continue to make the patently false claim of being better at national security than democrats when they give up key intelligence assets so easily?"

did rove utter plame's name? WHO CARES, he tipped off terrorists to our intelligence asset, undermining her usefulness to our national security and destroying her network of informants.

did rove know plame was 'undercover'? WHO CARES, it's no comfort to us if these idiots cost us our intelligence assets out of ignorance.

we already know that a majority of americans side with democrats on virtually every issue, but enough vote for republicans under the false belief that they are better at national security.

rove's tip off the terrorists PROVES ONCE AND FOR ALL that republicans SUCK at national security just as much as they SUCK at everything else.

8. I agree.
The democratic left needs to paint this story with our old watergate brushes. Symbols get messages across -- and this is "worse than watergate." Spread the word!

9. Conyers sees through this
Meanwhile, Rep. John Conyers Jr., D-Mich., is reportedly circulating a draft letter to his colleagues calling on Bush to demand that Rove either come clean about his role in Plame's outing or resign. "Notwithstanding whether Mr. Rove intentionally violated the law in leaking information concerning former CIA operative Valerie Plame, we believe it is not tenable to maintain Mr. Rove as one of your most important advisors unless he is willing to explain his central role in using the power and authority of your administration to disseminate information regarding Ms. Plame and to undermine her husband, Ambassador Joseph Wilson," Conyers wrote.

13. If Rove didn't commit a crime...
then why didn't he admit to this when it happened? He'd have saved the government the inordinate expense of an investigation, and ths would have all blown over years ago.
