1. Now, only if Hillary could turn a bit to the Left, I might support her.

2. Oh Lord, I hope not
We don't need a DLC, corporatista, faux Dem in the White House. We need a true liberal, somebody who doesn't take that corporate lucre. Somebody like Dennis Kucinich, or failing that, anybody from the Green Party.

11. Yeah, yeah, nice glib answer. Too bad the reality is otherwise friend
I've been a solid Democratic supporter for over thirty years. And during that whole time I have watched the party drift ever rightward, and become ever more coddling of corporate America. It has gotten to the point that we had a DEMOCRATIC president rushing through welfare reform, stripping this country of well paying blue collar manufacturing jobs, and pushing for media monopoly, among other outrages. Sorry, but I can't support that sort of corporate cronyism from anybody.

Wake up friend, we are living under the two party/same corporate master system of government. It is time for a change, and the best change that can be made is for all liberals to start voting only for those candidates who take no corporate cash. If that means going Green, so be it. But I'm done with this mummer's play that is laughingly known as *wink wink**nudge nudge* bipartisan government. It is nothing more than a good cop/bad cop routine that is being played on vast scale. If you can't see that, then you need to wake the hell up.

You're cutsey little quote is spot on, so when are you going to take the pledge, and give your vote to only those who refuse corporate cash? We've tried it your way, and look what it has gotten us, it is time for a change. After all, continuing to do the same thing over and over again, yet expecting different results every time is a definition of insanity. What more fitting word for our political process today, where the color of corporate cash counts for more than votes.

15. How is not supporting HRC.........
abandoning the party?? Are there no other hopefuls for the Democratic nomination in '08? The last I heard, Hillary hasn't thrown her hat into the ring either. Please explain your statement.

20. Call me impatient friend, call me traitorous if you must,
But after long and careful thought, I've come to the conclusion that continuing to settle, continuing to support the same ol' same ol' two party/same corporate master system of government is not the right nor moral thing to do. There was a bright shining moment in American politics at the end of the sixties, early seventies when we could have remade this country in a kinder, gentler model. Instead, all of our so called leaders, both Dem and 'Pug, turned their backs on this opportunity, and instead that in America it would be corporations uber alles. And thus began that bipartisan slide to fascism that we see now.

I'm in middle age, and before I die I would like to see that the country I love is passed on to future generations in better shape than when I got it, I feel that is a moral duty. The only way that we can ever hope to release the grip that corporate America has on our government is to refuse to support candidates that are in thrall to corporate lucre and corporate policy. If that means going Green, so be it. But I for one will not support the very people who are going to turn on me and grind me down for corporate profit. I've been doing that for years and decades now, and nothing good has come of it. It is time for a new approach, some fresh air. And if that means that the Democratic party goes down, so be it. The country will be better off with one less corporate tool. However if the Dems were smart, they would take a pointer from Kucinich, and refuse that corporate money. Then I could support them again.

5. Dennis Kucinich would never get the nomination
or have a chance at winning nationally; someone from the Green Party would have even less of a chance, if that's possible. Sorry to burst your bubble.

16. So you're willing to continue to settle
Gee, it was that notion that got us into this mess in the first place, that we were willing to settle. Sorry friend, but I'm tired of the two party/same corporate master system of government. I beat my head against the wall now for over thirty years. I have given my blood, sweat, money and toil to the Democratic party year in and year out, and what has it gotten me? A Democratic president who was all to willing to sell manufacturing jobs down the river and out of the country all for the corporate lucre. A Democratic president who was all to willing to muffle and muzzle the public via media monopolization. A Democratic president who was willing to rip out the social safety net via welfare "reform". This isn't what I signed up for, and I have become sick of supporting the two party/same corporate master system of government.

If you wish to continue to engage in the collective insanity that is quaintly labeled "bipartisan government", fine. But I'm looking for real change in this country, and it isn't going to happen by continuing to do the same ol' same ol'. It means that we have to get off our asses and rattle the towers of power. One of the few ways to do that is to only support those candidates that take no corporate cash. To do otherwise is simply handing the corporatistas the pen with which to sign your execution orders.
