My local teevee newz (CBS affilliate) just said Rehnquist is playing mum, Gnzales is not conservative for some conservatives, and that ......

Sandra Day O'Conner may be asked to come back as Chief Justice if Rehnquist retires.

Huh?

Has anyone else heard this?

1. Heard it this morning on C-span. Seems
unlikely to me. Didn't she retire because of her husband's illness? Probably put out by the WH (Rove) for reasons unknown to me.
