Just in case you missed it, (or couldn't stomach it) FauxNews aired about an hour of Town Hall's version of 'Prop up the Stupid Actor.'
While The Schwartz wasn't so good at giving solutions in the only 'debate' he was willing to participate in (See: They might confront me, and I'm a chicken.) he did offer some of those 'solutions' to an audience he knew wouldn't challenge him.
First: He said he would never raise taxes to pay California's bills. He said that citizens shouldn't be penalized because of overspending in Sacramento. Remember that: 'I will not raise taxes,' but think 'Read my lips.'
Now, where to get the money? Well, he suggested that workers' compensation should be 'reformed' as a way of generating 'revenue.' Apparently, while he thinks citizens shouldn't bear the burden, workers
should. (I'm guessing that workers in California are NOT citizens! Or...maybe he lied.)
Also, he said that he wants to sell off California's assets. He didn't say
which assets, but if California happens to enjoy any municipally-owned utility companies...DUCK! Remember, he met with Enron.
Finally, he said that Indian casinos should bring in some 'revenue.' Now, when a republican says 'bring in revenue,' it means 'tax.' Remember that stuff about never raising taxes and how citizens shouldn't be penalized for overspending in Sacramento? Well, apparently Native Americans are an exception. The Schwartz wants to INCREASE taxes ONLY on Native Americans (at least, at first). There is no reason, at this point, to believe that he'll stop with them, however. A republican lie, is a lie, is a lie.
Just as an aside: Do you remember the hullaballoo about Bustamante and his Indian casino contributions? It seems that Chickenegger has someone on his team by the name of Bonnie (the freepers are talking about this) who is a democrat with ties to Navada casinos. It might be interesting to check and see if the Chickenegger campaign is benefiting from Nevada casino contributions. It appears as if Chickenegger has no problems with casinos, unless they're Native American casinos.
