John Edwards's Green message about shareholder rights.
I was just reading this post about the FL teacher's pension buying the stock in the collapsing Edison Company (which ironically, or cynicially is a school privitization company).

It reminded me of something Peter Camejo said in the last CA governor's debate. Camejo said that if pension fund sharelhoders had the control of corporate governance which logically flow from equity ownership, the people of CA who own large slices of these companies through their pensions could have voted the entire board of PGE, and the other companies who are ripping them off.

This is also a position Edwards has taken.
