I'm sure their response was "I'm a soldier." Sure. An armchair soldier.

I'm the daughter of a Vietnam Veteran who is AGAINST this war. I'm the cousin of four Vietnam Veterans whao are all AGAISNT this war (and who live in a red state and a red county.) I am the granddaughter and grand niece of WWII Veterans who are AGAINST this war (and also live in red states and red counties.)

I'm an educator who teaches the future Cannon Fodder of America--- poor children who are the targets of recruitment tatics. My blue town in a blue county in a blue state has put the control on this recruitment bullshit by bringing in Veterans who tell the truth regarding military enlistment. I always tell my kids "if you want to enlist, fine. I come from a strong military family, but understand that the recruiters consider you a number, not a human being. Here are the facts... now, make your own decision."
