1. I intend to do my best to stop him/them/it, by marching on Sept 24th.

Little old wife and mother me. Totally out of character for me, and I suspect there are many others like me ready to converge upon Our Capitol. :hi:

14. Yes, and we couldn't get our wimpy party to fight it.
So the longer we let them dig in the harder it will be to root them out. We really need to start court actions of some type. I would like to see the Gold Star mothers sue Bush in civil court for wrongful deaths. There is so much to do and maybe some of it will stick to him. However, I'm not a lawyer or a politician so I don't really know where to begin, but for those who do know, please begin soon!

5. You'd think that in a free society, people would be doing more to stop him
Edited on Mon Aug-15-05 06:09 AM by mtnsnake
Why are our Democratic leaders not raising their voices and using the L word on TV like Cindy did?

Why are our Democratic leaders not standing up and saying to the MSM, "ENOUGH!"?

Why are there not more people getting off their computers and into the streets protesting with huge signs denouncing this maniac?

Until people see other people raising their voices or carrying signs, I guess apathy/laziness will run rampant.

So far, about the only real leader to step up is Cindy. Our Democratic leaders, our youth, our rock musicians, Hollywood, & generally ourselves should all be ashamed. We need to do more than just complain. We need to be seen.

6. I place a large part of the blame
on the so-called "fourth estate". If the mass media had really done their job, instead of shilling for their corporate masters, I really think this could be a moot issue.

I find glee in the fact that when this shit does hit the fan, the mass media as we know it will change forever. Once they've squandered your trust, who fucking needs them.

We will be the "new" news.

7. I would say that a little over half that vote like it this way
To have your own way by force is a way of life for many people. They hardly think what that will cost them or others and do not really care.

9. Peak oil. I've long suspected what he meant by "compassionate"...
thermonuclear armageddon.

I'm probably wrong but once even a single nuke is launched with intent, there can only be one response.

And with peak oil set to rid us all...

Live happy, be happy, smile, smell rtoses, the lot. We can't do anything about it so I shall choose to be happy. We are beyond recrimination at this point.
