BBV: Board moving forward with e-voting (Licking Cnty OH picks Sequoia TS)
The decision to go with Sequoia Voting Systems of Oakland, Calif., was made by a unanimous consensus of the four-member elections board on Monday

Wiesert noted that the Sequoia electronic touch-screen system was used as part of a pilot run earlier this year during an actual election involving voters in the Heath area.

"Ideally, if we could work it out, we'd like to go forward in the March primary," Wiesert said. "That would be an aggressive goal, but that's what we would like to do. If not, it would be the presidential election of 2004."

As part of the arrangement, the county's elections office plans to replace its internal computer system that handles voter registrations.
