Time to tie treason to war profiteering and 87 billion
Krugman's latest column about cronismy in the bush administration is no surprise to us but I thought the idea of Truman considering it treason to profit from the Marshall Plan was very relevant. I'd like to suggest everyone contract congress demanding tying the 87 BILLION dollar budget request to a law making it illegal to profiteer and giving Iraqi's equal opportunity for the bids. Bremmers comment about how Iraq didn't have decent concrete was the height of idiocy! Last time I looked concrete was made of sand and gravel and Iraq has bridges and other structures made of their concrete. Of course, hauling heavy concrete all the way to Iraq would rate some bush crony big $$.
